The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. Wonderful settings, located right in front of the lake promenade start, with a beautiful view towards the mountains and even the lake. Also very close to Keswick city center. The room was very comfortable, the lounge area was as well. Very good breakfast. I definitely recommend the Highfield.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. Ambleside Townhouse is a lovely accommodation. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a spacious, quiet room with comfy beds and a nice view. Especially in the evenings, we were able to enjoy the sunset. The breakfast was delicious, especially the pancakes and sourdough bread with scrambled eggs and salmon. We enjoyed fantastic hikes in the area.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels.

Boat trips on Lake Windermere, which is just 1 mile away, offer uninterrupted views of the stunning mountains, bays and woodlands. The location was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was spotlessly clean and staff couldn’t do enough.

The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. The location is amazing and the rooms were really good. Everything is good quality and I will definitely be coming here again and recommending it.

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. Benefits also include an en suite bathroom, designer toiletries, and a hospitality tray with fresh coffee milk, teas, and biscuits. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff and the breakfast were both excellent.

Situated in Levens, 18 km from World of Beatrix Potter, The Hare and Hounds, Levens features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 32 km of Trough of Bowland. The property is non-smoking and is set 12 km from Kendal Castle. The guidebook in the room was very helpful and provided information about things to do in the Lake District area, by foot or car. I took a 45 minute walk around the nearby farm and enjoyed quiet, scenic views. The unit we stayed in consisted of a large living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bath with shower and tub. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both meals were scrumptious. There was a great vibe at dinner and it was clear that this is not just a spot for guests, but also popular with the locals. Parking was available just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Stiles has two B&B rooms, one double room (Shiraz) and one king-size room (Merlot), one of which has a private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, while the other has a shower over a whirlpool spa bath. Towels, bed linen, toiletries and a hairdryer are all provided. Ironing facilities are also available if required. Great location, very nice staff, excellent breakfast. Loved the town of Ambleside. Large room.
