Family antiques and rare objects blend with contemporary comforts in a continuous effort of renovation and with a constant search for authenticity. What a delightful spot. Perfect location, just far away enough from the centre of town to avoid noise, but so easy to wander down in the morning. Has been so beautifully fitted out and the furniture/interiors are incredible. All the staff went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable - no question was too small or request too large. Breakfast was one of my highlights in the little courtyard - highly recommend the home-whipped yoghurt and muesli - so good! We wil 100% be back and would not hesitate to recommend this sanctuary to anyone wanting to visit Hydra.

Located in an elevated position in scenic Hydra Island, the stone-built Villa Sunrise comes with free Wi-Fi and a spacious, furnished terrace overlooking the town and the mountain. It lies within 400 metres from restaurants, bars and shops. The location is quiet, we woke up every morning with the rooster crowing. Having breakfast on the terrace was such a beautiful experience. We had dinner EVERY night at Ostria tavern, which is the restaurant owned by Stathis and Anastasia (the owners of the house) and it was so special that we couldn't try any other place. Stathis came at the harbour to pick us up with the porter and a donkey to bring up the suitcases...We didn't expect that and we really appreciated it. The house was super clean, every three days the cleaning lady was coming and changing sheets and towels. There are some steps to climb up to the house but it's totally doable, also considering that you'll be in an island without cars, so you'll walk anyway...It's just a good training. Of course if you have walking disability it's not recommended. Just a lovely place to stay!!!
