Aretusa Vacanze is located in a completely renovated 17th-century building at the centre of Syracuse's Ortygia Island. It offers self-catering rooms. Excellent experience. Great family run place. Room was very comfortable, and the hotel is convenient for exploring Ortigia. Breakfast on the roof top with great views was super. The host Stefano was especially kind. He helped us find a great free parking space in the street and gave us a room upgrade.

Set in beautiful countryside less than 1km from Piazza Armerina, Villa Trigona is an 18th-century building with large gardens, where you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and numerous sports. Amazing location in the Sicilian countryside, a few km away from Villa Romana and the archeologic park at Morgantina. We ended up spending 2 nights there instead of one, we liked it so much! They have a big lovely garden and a pool. They also serve dinner on place which was absolutely monumental!

The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Beds so very comfortable (except the pull-out children's bed is uncomfortable). Because it was Sunday, they didn't serve breakfast in the accommodation, but we got coupons (€3/person) for a nearby bar. Excellent!
