Both for the enchanting location and the hotel itself - which is lovely with inviting rooms, terrific views, a welcoming staff, and very fine restaurants Everything was 5*****. We loved staying here so much, we plan on returning for as long as a month. Top notch!

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located in Sítio da Felpa, S. Jorge, Madeira Island. It offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation about 50 km from Funchal.

All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings. We booked one of the cheapest/smallest rooms and we were very happy with it. We had a heating battery to dry our clothes and shoes and Teresa, the hostess, was more than we could have wished: she helped with getting our stuff dry faster, even loaned us her own slippers, offered advice and information about activities around the island. She´s there from 7AM, cooking eggs for each guest, preparing the best French Toast and offering everything she can to make your stay more comfortable. We both felt like home, eating mother´s food, being taken care by our mothers... It can´t get more cozy & comfy than that!

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. Set on Madeira’s South Coast, Ponta do Sol has a stunning infinity pool and hot tub with panoramic views. The nature of hotel is insane. I liked our stay and the staff was very friendly . We booked for a wrong day and they still accommodate us without penaltyis. Thank you for everything.

Nicely decorated boutique hotel, with clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, exceptional staff, excelent breakfast in the garden with the view over the city, possibility to park in the hotel garage, walking distance to city center, with bus stop right in front of the hotel when one does not want to be bothered walking uphill. We had an amazing stay.

The hotel has a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Wonderful room this time with extra sitting area and view of the city. Used the pool which is nice on the roof and the breakfast was well done.

Apartments were renovated keeping the original layout of the building and adding modern comforts as free High Speed Internet access. Very beautiful place with nice atmosphere. Self checkin and checkout was very handy because we came very late and leaved very early. Location was amazing. There was a terrace with view of city or see. We had 2 botles of local vine waiting for us in the kitchen. what was nice supprice. Included was also coffe, still wather and some fruits.
