Even in bad weather you can still relax with a view of the sea :) Comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. Parking at the hotel. The location is also good for trips to nearby levadas by car. We also ordered a massage (standard quality) and ate at a Japanese restaurant (longer wait, but good food). Wifi without problems.

Occupant une demeure de caractère restaurée typique de Madère, l'établissement ARTS IN Hotel Conde Carvalhal est situé à 900 mètres de la vieille ville de Funchal. This is a beautiful place, combining the elegant restoration of an old villa with well designed new build (architect not known) set in the villa’s grounds, all developed possibly 10 - 15 years. The setting in the well maintained landscaped gardens and courtyard of the villa, is exceptional. We stayed in the villa on the upper floor which affords great views over the port and the city of Funchal. The fairly easy walk into town was enjoyable, taxi home because of the steep streets back up. Breakfast in the gardens was a delight. The staff are wonderfully kind and hospitable and seem to appreciate working here. I’d say that Madeira has a perfect climate in summer … no more than 24° in the afternoon and maybe 16° at night and the quality of light is as uplifting as you can find anywhere. As my mother (who lived on Tenerife) used to say - ‘always wear a hat’. As seems characteristic of these Atlantic islands, the residential suburbs - such as where Arts In is located - suffer at night from dogs barking. Like the sub-tropical vegetation, it’s the way things are around here.

Comprenant une piscine extérieure et un spa, le Castanheiro Boutique Hotel vous accueille à Funchal, à 500 mètres du port de plaisance. We loved everything about this hotel! From the arrival where we were greeted with champagne to the wonderful food and bars offered within the hotel to the OUTSTANDING spa staff, we could not have had a better trip. We visited during a 3 day storm so we had plenty of time to use all of the hotel amenities and could not recommend them more. The rooms were spacious, had balconies (for those rare, clear moments) and had modern, clean bathrooms with luxurious showers. While I did not eat at the restaurant for dinner, 6 of our other friends did and absolutely raved about the food. The quality and value, coupled with excellent staff made for an amazing trip. Only a 5-minute walk from so many things to do in Old town and a 10-minute cab ride to the more commercialized, shopping area of town. We would only stay at the Castanheiro hotel again if we return.

Surplombant le luxuriant jardin municipal, l'établissement The Wine Lodges vous accueille dans des appartements au centre-ville de Funchal. The place is enormous. 3 floors, literally. So it was an amazing suprise, it is an old building with unique atmosphere. Very very well equiped kitchen, it looked truly cosy and clean. Beds were comfortable and the views from bedrooms and terrace were stunning. And the location is great too, we walked from the building straight to the Carneval on the main Street. One of my best accomodations ever.

Doté de 400 mètres de front de mer privé, l’Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club, un établissement 5 étoiles, dispose de chambres spacieuses. Toutes sont munies d’un balcon. The location is really nice, you dont need to be scared about the highway, you will not hear it at all (only next to the pool you can hear the noise). The staff is helful. Breakfasts are also great.

I spent 5 wonderful days in the hotel with 2 kids. We all liked a lot breakfasts , where we found different meal on our taste! Our appartment was really big with 2 rooms, super clean and nice with evetything needed inside! First few days it was windy, so we used to go to the inside swimming pool with jacuzzi and saunas. My kids loved this time-spending and it was very relaxed for me as well: after all day walking to swim in warm water and to get rest. The area with outside swimming pool looks much better and bigger than on the photos and it has a wonderdull views for the ocean and nature around! Very beautiful beach wit rocks is in 5 minutes walking from the hotel!

Située au cœur de jardins tropicaux, sur l'île de Madère, la Quinta Da Penha De Franca offre une vue dégagée sur la mer. EVERYTHING. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, the bar was great, and the pools were amazing. We especially liked that we could use the pool and both properties.

Situé à Ribeira Brava sur l'île de Madère, le Dazkarizeh73 propose une ambiance exotique, une piscine extérieure à débordement et un bain à remous donnant sur l'océan. Beautiful oasis of a place with really well done interiors, amenities including an infinity pool and jacuzzi and a sauna. The room was wonderful 10/10
