Good hotel with comfortable bed and relatively spacious room. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The view over the natural pools to the breaking waves was spectacular. Breakfast was extremely good indeed. We had dinner in both of the hotel restaurants and were very happy with the menu on both occasions.

Nice hotel, nice room, nice people working there, nice breakfast, nice parking, nice patio. I feel that it's worth every dime paid. This was the first and the only case when I truly enjoyed the conversation with a person at the reception who turned out to be a true erudite who is into history and geography.

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools, one of which is heated in winter period. - great location in walking distance to central Funchal - good swimming pools and easy sea access - very friendly and helpful staff - nice, spacious and clean room - beautiful historic but well kept building Will definitely return!
