The guide was very informed and pleasant. My meal that evening was one of the best I've had in a Portugal since arriving two weeks ago. Huge compliments to the chef. The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. The place is fantastic, better than we expected! Great staff and warm welcoming, they service us their homemade excellent port when we arrived. The room is very spacious and charming with elegant antique furnitures, great atmosphere! The dinner was amazing! Great food and wine, they were very kind to serve us with another pre-drink of port, lots of great red wine during the dinner and with a 40years port after dinner. Breakfast is also nice and fresh! Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. It is highly recommended place to stay. The view..fabulous. The restaurant..exquisite cuisine. Location..excellent.

Offering an outdoor pool surrounded by vineyards and a lush garden area, Casa da Azenha is located in Lamego. Free WiFi access is available in this farm stay. We stayed 3 days at Casa da Azenha. The family suite was clean, spacious and well decorated. The garden and facilities are well maintained by the helpful and caring staff. The staff helped us make restaurant reservations and provided useful tips for places to visit. Recommended for short as well as long stays.

Casa do Romezal is a typical Douro Valley house, surrounded by vineyards and providing stunning views over the surroundings. Margarida has been a wonderful host. The spot is really peaceful with a beautiful view and nice sunsets. Breakfasts were also excellent. We booked a room (not a bungalow) - perfect for a couple getaway. Say hi to Amarillo the cat for me!

Quinta do Tedo is an award-winning agrotourism that provides accommodation with breakfast included. I loved the location. There are hiking trails where you can do bird watching and go thru the wine yards. There are facilities for kayaking too, everything included (paddles, kayaks, and lifesavers). The stay includes a tour of the process and degustation of wine.

Quinta de Fiães lies along the Douro Valley, just 1 km from the centre of the village of Vilar de Maçada. Incredible place. All the family was so friendly, it made our stay unforgettable. it’s a bit far from Pinhao (about 40min drive), but it’s well worth it! Homemade dinner for 25€/pers. was really good!
