La propreté, le calme, la gentillesse du personnel
We enjoyed our one night stay in Beziers . It’s really lovely around the cathedral next to the hotel where we stayed with great views over the area and beyond . Eating out is a pleasure as there are many restaurants to choose from . If busy it’s best to book . We enjoyed walking around the town looking at the Trompe L’oiel on the walls . There is a trail to follow but we didn’t have time . We would have liked to have visited the canal locks nearby too . Unless there are events on , it’s not the most exciting town but we really enjoyed it and if visiting again would stay 3-6 nights using the town as a base to explore other areas /towns nearby .

The centre of town was just a few minutes walk away, through a noisy underpass. Beziers was charming, the people friendly and the food good. Railway and bus connections were easy. The central boulevard and Plateau des Poets ideal for a pleasant stroll. Canal du Midi a bonus!

Later in the evenings there were a lot of immigrants in the main square. We ate at one of the restaurants recommended by our host. We visited the 9 locks which was very interesting, with a restaurant on site.

Béziers is a nice middle-sized town with a long historic past which has left some very interesting monuments.
There are a number of excellent restaurants which offer a large choice of food.
I recommend visiting the place in spring or in summer .

Enjoyed visiting the Cathedral and the old town.
Enjoyed visiting the Cathedral and the old town. Also visited Les 9 Ecluses de Fonseranes and Tunnel du Malpas (Canal du Midi), and Oppidum d'Enserune (a 2,500 year old celtic settlement). Also drove to the nearby coastal towns but were disappointed that there was not more activity for the time of year (early/mid September).

I ended up staying in Beziers spontaneously without doing any research, and that's also how I ended up at Hotel la Prison. It was a great surprise all around. There are loads of things to see around Beziers, and a lot of history I had no idea about. A good cultural getaway and escape.
Possibly the best place we have stayed. Certainly the best bed and breakfast. Absolutely fabulous. From being able to access our room at 11 in the morning, through a beautiful room with an exquisite view of the majestic gardens to the delicious omlettes as part of a scrumotious breakfast, everything was perfect for three days of R & R.
I cannot recommend this establishment too highly. Stay there!
Beziers is a pleasant, relaxed place with enough to capture one's interest but not so much to see that you return to the room exhausted.
This was perhaps the best hotel experience so far. This is a one-of-a-kind place. Regular assessment templates cannot embrace the magnificence of this adobe. Not only the whole idea of the enterprise, but it's the tiny detail, like ventilation in the windows or, say, not 'some' coffee beans in the machine at the breakfast, but tasty ones, with a noble flavor, that make one aware of how this whole thing was thoroughly thought through.
Very beautiful decorated place with southern France charm. A very lovely and big shared patio (just one neighbour) with private outdoor space. Location is just perfect and a visit to city center is possible via multiple roads on just 5 minutes. Also enough parking space in this part of the city (even on the same street). If you would prefer more safety the parking garage is just a fede minutes walk.
Beziers is a beautiful and historic provincial French town. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the railway station on a charming tree-lined avenue in the centre of the town. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity and many little traffic-free side streets to explore. The hotel is clean, modern and very welcoming.
What can I say about this hotel? I absolutely loved everything about it! Despite its past as a prison, they've maintained the place very well, and I slept comfortably. The location is excellent, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Additionally, the staff is incredibly helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, the best of my trip! I highly recommend it!
Very unique, artistic place with amazing friendly atmosphere, provided by owners and exceptionally professional hosts Monika and Mirek! Great and calm location with easy access to Béziers. Lovely breakfast served in picturesque room. Overall - beautiful and highly recommended experience:)
Absolutely beautifully restored and decorated apartment smack bang in the center of Beziers. The owners were fantastic and had kitted out the apartment amazingly. great art on all the walls and eye for detail. Very friendly and helpful, very comfortable, beautiful stay!
The hotel was beautiful and also all the outside and pool area. The terrace is also super quiet and nice to have your breakfast. The rooms were clean, spacious and modern. We got an upgrade for our room and the whole team was very friendly, attentive and helpful.
This is a modest 2-star hotel, which felt more like a B&B.
The continental breakfast was nicely presented, and had great croissants.
The owner (I think) and staff were lovely, and very helpful.
There was (luckily!) a fan in my room.
Didier, the apartment owner, went out of his way to be helpful and encouraging. We planned to return to the same apartment near the end of our stay in France, but circumstances intervened and we could not get back to Beziers.
The shower, lighting and design of the bedrooms is great. Truly a boutique chic hotel. Lovely terrace for apéro and tapas, on your own or as a couple. The Glacier ice-cream just next door is a brilliant gem, add-on!
Good amenities. Big enough room. Fridge cooker, microwave if you needed to eat for yourself. Quite area and not too far away from the centre of Béziers. Staff were pleasant and friendly. All good.
