The property is well located very near to the central square but there was no noise in the room at all. It is very stylish and imaginatively designed with quality fittings including kitchenware. The bed was large and very comfortable and the shower excellent. Our room was on the ground floor with access to an outside sitting area. It was split level with the toilet and shower downstairs so a word of caution if you have any physical limitations as there are some 18 steps to negotiate without a hand rail. There are no common areas ( bar, restaurant etc) but with a well equipped kitchen and lots of bats, restaurants and shops nearby, that is not a problem.
Located in Palaiochóra and with Pachia Ammos reachable within 200 metres, Hotel Elman provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace.

Beautiful vintage style, family-owned hotel. Location is very convenient, right next to the beach so you can actually hear the waves. It’s a bit further from the core but still walkable within minutes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The son of the family gave us useful tips for the restaurants and things to do nearby. Thank you for everything.
Highly recommended!

It’s position - central, easy to park close to excellent restaurants. We were very pleased to have a fridge in the room. Helpful friendly owner who was also an excellent cook. Breakfast was excellent - with home made pastries.
The Pal Beach is located along Pachia Ammos Beach, in Paleochora. Guests enjoy sun beds and umbrellas on the beach at a discounted rate.

The location is superb and our spacious room overlooked tamarisk trees and a sandy beach and had a spacious balcony with very comfortable cushioned armchairs. We liked having a second room with a settee which we used as a dressing room with the suitcases. However, we understand that most of the rooms are at the side with no view. Also we were very pleased to find a bath and plentiful hot water.
Located 100 metres from the famous Pachia Ammos Beach, Polydoros Hotel Apartments offers self-catering accommodation with free WiFi and balcony.

The apartment was very centrally located, easy walking distance to beach, harbour, restaurants and shops. There was plenty of free parking in the nearby streets. Our apartment was clean and spacious, there was a lovely wine bar downstairs adorned with a canopy of glorious flowers... we had a great three-night stay, thank you very much!!

Location was excellent and staff very accommodating
I love Palaiochora - have visited several times. There is a very long sandy beach on the west side of the village - the sunbeds and umbrellas do not dominate the beach due to its size. There is a nudist area at the northern end but, sadly, it looks like the cantina there is not open this year. There is also a beach on the east side but it is stony and not to my liking. In the evening a couple of streets are closed off to traffic (but not to kids cycling at top speed through the pedestrians grrr) and the roads are occupied with tables and chairs for the various bars and cafes. There are many places to eat in the village and a wide selection of menus available. Agios bar is one to visit - definitely. If staying for more than a few days a ferry trip (40 minutes or so) to Sougia is worth trying. Gialiskari is another nice beach along the coast - about an hour's walk or 15 minutes by car.

If you are looking for a small laid back beach town in Crete, this is a greatchoice. Many of the more full service touristy options are on the north side of the island, Palaiochora is on the south. You can drive from Palaichora to Chania in less than 1.5 hours : drive to Heraklion is closer to 3.5 hours.
Plenty of beaches, good food, good people. Not really a party crowd, at least when we were there at the end of the season. There are many options for boat trips, hiking and outdoor activities. Ebikes and similar are easy to rent.

Lovely relaxed seaside town - really chill atmosphere in the evenings with lots of restaurants along the sea front and in main and back streets serving great food and generous extras (bread, olives, small desserts and raki).
We enjoyed a good balance of some hiking (Aghia Irina Gorge was lovely and very quiet), hiring a car to explore the area and a couple of days of swimming, snorkelling and reading on the beach.
I expect Paleochora is heaving n high season, but in Kate September was wonderfully laid back - a few days here and a few in Chania& Rethymno was a really nice balance.
I would stay right in the town next time - lots of small studios advertised along the road from town to harbour looked nice, quiet and close to everything

Palauochora is lovely low key resort with great food and beaches. We really like the vibe of the town which is authentic and friendly. Highly recommended for 3-4 days or longer. Really like the fact that it can be easily accessed by a very efficient bus and ferry service. We’ll definitely be back

Pretty little town with a chilled vibe but still has some action. Excellent cocktail bar in the middle of town. Amazing sunrises on one side and the most stunning sunsets on the other side.
Sandy beaches for those who like that but rocky beaches on the ither side that offer great snorkelling opportunities.
A Lovely Break in a Good Hotel
Hotel in an excellent location with breathtaking panoramic sea views and in a few steps to the beach, numerous tavernas and cafes. Lovely lounge area with a bar. Cozy clean room with effective air con and comfortable beds and pillows. Face and bath towels provided. Basic things like fridge, hair-drier, flat TV all supplied. Quiet but still close to everything. Breakfast is tasty and fresh. The stuff is friendly and polite. Would recommend staying at this hotel.
The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to the beach and to the center of Palaiochora where all the tavernas and cafes, shopping area etc. are. Our room was exactly as in the pictures, comfortable bed and I particularly liked that our room was cool the whole day despite the heat of the summer.
Morpheas rooms is located on one of my favourite beaches outside Paleohora. These are basic rooms like most on the south of Crete. Everything is operational, the owner was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. There were a few games for the kids to play with outside. I recommend!
The hotel has its own almost private beach. Katerina who was an excellent host gave us water bottles, sunbeds and an umbrella to take with us at the beach. The balconies have a great view and the location is really quite. Would definitely go there again
Breakfast was moderate, location is very good and beach is amazing! Hotel is located in quiet area of the city and that helps a lot. We were in October - so there were no problem with parking or place on the beach. Very good beach!
New toothbrushes/shampoos/hairbalm/moisterising cream where also provided. Much more than expected. And less expensive to eat out at local resturants since beeing away from crowded tourist areas. The beach was great too😊
Lovely room, right next to the sea. Excellent hospitality, Michael provided us with a wealth of local knowledge and suggestions to maximise our time in Palaiochora. We would definitely come back.
Thank you!
Everything was great! Right beside the beach with very spacious rooms that were spotless. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and ready to help. Its a great hotel that I cannot wait to stay at again.
Hotel has all the facilities you need: Wi-Fi, air conditioner, clean rooms, surprisingly they cleaned the rooms every day in our short stay, and the value of money is excellent for Palaiochora
This property has everything you need and the staff is extra helpful and nice. We stayed in the new building and it was wonderful. Great location with the beach right across the street.
In a central but quiet location; two minutes to the beach and all other facilities and the shops and tavernas of Palaiochora. Large, spacious apartment with a very comfortable bed.
The location is fantastic to enjoy the beach and get easy access to the center of Palaiochora. The owner was friendly and easily accessible. The property was comfortable and clean.
Excellent accommodation.Great shower, clean, plenty of plug sockets, just across from the beach.Little things the owner has thought of, washing up sponge, rubbish bin bags, ect
This is an excellent (new) hotel in a great location (no sea view maybe but very near the beach and with parking), spotlessly clean, stylish, with very helpful staff.
Great location near everything Palaiochora has to offer. Very well equipped kitchen (the knives were dull though)! Clean and spacious apartment! Very helpful owner!
nice and clean, ample space, nice view, a little bit out of town but the walk home was a pleasure. near the nudist section of the sandy beach if that’s you thing
Excellent location and price. Very friendly staff. Private beach. Very quiet and close to the center, no need to drive there. Would definitely visit again.
Small hotel in a great location. 5 min walking to center and beach. Spectacular view from every room. Easy free parking. Good breakfast and great staff.
