Wednesdays in April are not good when wanting a decent evening meal, very little choice but Friday night much better as everyone was open. Merizzi by the station on the corner of the main road does fantastic good.

We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river.
What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river. Fascinating buildings and great food ( had a great pizza at LETI DI PILONI AXEL by the station. Only stayed overnight after coming from Chur on the Bernina line then on to Rome but could easily have spent a week here. Everything walkable.

Lovely town in the valley, surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains. The old town is great and the connection to the Rhaetian Railway and the beautiful Bernina line are not to be missed! Breakfast was set in a beautiful cozy diner where Jessy along with the family were serving the breakfast and making sure you are enjoying your morning. The staff on the reception in the nearby Stelvio hotel (who was handling the check-in for this property) was very friendly, we were staying there on Monday and Wednesday and they managed that we could stay in the same room and use the same entrance code, so there was no need for additional check-in and going to the reception once again. Allesandro waited for us on the station, showed us everything, gave a lot of very useful tips, very good comunication and contact via phone.
