Amazing property, it was my first experience in Marrakesh, but I will definitely come back because of the way that I was welcomed. This is a great place. The hotel is beautiful and Well managed.
The team is also very understanding and really helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel. There is a reason why it is almost always full 😃

What an amazing time spent here with our kids. The food was exceptional, the staff and animation team so friendly and great with the kids, there is always something to do or a new area to explore. It is a massive parc, bathed in sunshine and with loads of pools and slides to keep the (big and little) kids busy. The room was large and in a lovely quiet location right next to one of the pools. The housekeeping team (especially Rachida, Fatimazhra and Khadija) were friendly and helpful. It was a perfect break, with the only negative being that we didn't stay longer!

Really friendly!!! They helped me get the taxi, Minivan, accompanied me to the main road to get this transportation, showed me the dinosaurs stone steps from million years ago. I had no sunscreen nor Flipflops and they borrowed me one until I bought my own. The place is very clean, there are cleaning personal every day which don’t speak English or German and I think neither French. But they are nice. The mattress is hard (for me, for what I’m used to) which is the only negative thing I could say about the whole place. I washed my clothes here in their washing machine. I walked to the beach 2 mins and came back with no problems, met people from Germany, from Russia, from france. The breakfast consists of bread, honey and butter; coffee and tea. They have a menu for additional things. There is a big tv in the 6 bedroom in which I was, at nights I watched Netflix from my account. (I was pretty scare at the beginning of the 6 bedroom door because it remains open, I mean, you don’t get a key) but never happened anything bad nor unknown people showed up unannounced. If they needed to come inside they would knock on the door (the owners/personal)

We stayed for a week in the UK Easter hol - ignorantly I hadn't appreciated it was Ramadan then Eid at the end of our trip; not that this interrupted anything significant for us.
We got a great price for Full board (1 adult 3 x kids approx £1900 ) and the staff couldn't have been warmer or kinder. They offered my children off menu fries and hand made pizzas noticing that they were fussy - the hotel food was delicious - all fresh - tender meat and seasoned veg with a moroccan lilt - which is exactly the reason my fussy kids didn't love the food as it was all so fresh and regional.
The pool was large and on many occasions we had it to ourselves with just a few guests sun bathing. The gentleman at the pool was friendly and attentive to the kids - they loved his dogs who lazed in the sun all day.
The hotel looked very smart from the outside and the cleaners kept the inside spotless - areas exposed to the sun like balconies and pool tiles were weathered in places but that's life and tropical heat for you.
The reception staff made my day when they happily printed our boarding passes, we were not aware Marrakech airport does not accept digital passes so they relieved some last minute stress for me.
There were taxis outside the hotel at all hours so travelling to local sites was simple and the prices were reasonable (average 100 dirham per fare) We could see planes landing into Marrakech airport from the hotel so we were approx a 10 min cab ride from most local landmarks. We visited Le Jardin Majorelle - the YSL Museum - The fantasia show. We nipped to the souks also (this was mainly shut due to eid but that was my mistake)
We were also a 5 min walk from the large local mall that was modern and equipped with Western eateries and clothe shops - this was helpful to grab a Papa Johns/Costa snacks for the kids and some arm bands that we hadn't packed.
All in all I was so happy with price - appearance and staff at the hotel.

Marrakech is a great place to visit.
Marrakech is a great place to visit. Its a very vibrant place with lots going on and plenty to see and do. Most places though only take cash, although restaurants will take card. The ATM machines were very busy, I mainly stayed on the area but with more time I would like to visit the mountains and other areas. Generally, I would say, it felt very safe.

We had 2 days. We didn't use a guide. Used our map (got lost in the souk a couple of times). There are plenty of willing people to help (for a small tip!).
Visited the secret garden, the souk, bahia and badi palaces. These were all good. Visit as early in the day as possible to avoid big crowds. Authentic food better in the non-alcoholic restaurants

I heard some not great things about Marrakech but actually being there changed my mind.
Walking around Marrakech is fun, but the heat can be too much, and prepared to be stopped by people trying to give you a ride or sell you something, but no one is rude to you.
Bahia palace was way too overcrowded.
Very fun place to go shopping.
I felt I am at home nothing missing ,
our welcome was a huge fruit platte enough for a week, even the fridge was never empty, we had most essential food (bread, milk, cheese, yoghurt, Honey, sweets ..etc) filled into fridge, water supply 3 litres almost every second day, any help we need was done within minutes.
generally it was a 2nd home for us.
10 - 20 cents taxi to Center, Huge Balkon. stuff are all great Ismail and Karima, Cleaning stuff every day as if you are in a 5 star Hotel. what else I can say. for sur our next visit will be there.
The pool is nice , quite big and never too crowded. The hotel is a short taxi ride away from the main square. The pool bar has a ok selection of drinks for example coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Staff were nice and helpful. AC works fine and keeps the room cool even when the outdoor temps reached +36C ( 97F). Food selection was good. With all inclusive you get breakfast, lunch, and dinner it was nice to get bottled water to the room.
We booked an old town whole day tour trough the hotel, which was so worth it.
The room that I stayed is very comfortable, the place of the villa is also close to the city center, so I chose to visit the square and also Medina just by foot. Soofyan is the best hoster I have met in Morocco! He invited me and other guests to the Ramadan breakfast and we had a really good time. He's wonderful, he has a nice personality. He said to me that welcoming nice people from all over the world makes him happy, and I am very glad that I chose to live here in my 3 day stay in Marrakesh.
An excellent hostel to stay at when you are in Marrakech. I must say that it is an incredible Riad with all the services working perfectly. The rooms have air conditioning, warm water, and good beds. There are also some really great facilities in the hotel: a swimming pool, a rooftop terrace and a bar (which serves alcohol :)). The service was excellent and deserves a 5 star rating. It is also located in a good area, which is not overly centric, but close to everything that you might need.
Michael and Guido took exceptional care of us from before we even arrived! It was our first time in Marrakesh and their advice and help navigating the city made us feel confident and relaxed. I loved how each room smelled so incredibly good. The photos don't really do the place justice; every room is unique and a VIBE. If you care about good service, I would not hesitate to stay here. (Location was excellent for exploring the Medina as well.) Also, the best breakfasts we had in Morocco.
Nothing. So many bad stuff here:
- They lie about when they switch the bed sheets, as shown in the picture
- the balcony didn’t have chairs (so what’s it’s purpose)
- room finishing are really bad for 5 star hotel (even for 3-star)
- internet is HORRIBLE
- tables aren’t cleaned during breakfast, not enough chairs for everyone
- asked for different stuff at the reception 3 times, and 3 times they forgot my order
- It is all just a big mess
We have very pleasant time in the hotel during December 2023. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very hospitable, as you wouldn’t expect less from 5 start hotel like the Movenpick. I would mention the restaurant staff for the great reception and service, particularly Ms. Bahija who was very helpful everyday during breakfast times. My overall stay experience of the Movenpick hotel is Exceptional.
Our room was comfortable, actually the most comfortable beds we slept on during our stay in Morocco.
However, the space was tight as there were 5 of us.
We only stayed 1 night and it was nice.
The hotel location is in a slightly secluded area but within a couple of minutes walk to a busy street with bars, shops and eating places.
The staff were nice and helpful.
Very nice location and hotel aesthetic. Everything was very clean and organized. Moussa is the best manager. Very kind, cool and always eager to help with our reservation, transfer and also booked very nice restaurants. Moussa also did us the best breakfast and his simplicity melted our hearts. Never felt safer. Moussa is the best! 5 star person all the way!!!
The hotel is beautiful but the staff is incredible!! Rashid and all the staff were amazing with us, prepared every morning a delicious breakfast, helped us with everything, explained where to go and what to know.
For sure I would go back and be in the same Riad.
Thank you Rashid and all the people working there! You made a great experience of Morocco for us.
The location is great. The hotel is in the old Medina and close to main attractions. The staff were incredibly kind. We especially loved the decorations of the rooms. It gave us a unique modern Moroccon vibe. I definitely recommend staying in this hotel. It is cheap when compared to its real worth.
Riad Aya is a hidden Moroccan gem for any tourist. Riad Aya is an incredible place to stay, to live and enjoy your days in Marrakesh….Gracias to give us the opportunity to know part of Morocco culture and, big hugs for all the staff….you are amazing hosts, 100% people oriented.
Breakfast was Good.
Rooms very noisy
There is no door between the sleeping part of the room and the entrance of the room -people in the corridor can be heard all night long.
This is a hotel for mainstream tour operator guests.
In no way a 5 star hotel.
The central location was so ideal, and it was incredible to be so close to the main Square and right in the city! It was also just a fun atmosphere for being in Morocco the first time and the open air hotel, and all of the rooms just had a very good vibe!
loved the raid, was beautiful, beautifully placed in the old medina, nice and peaceful, the room was like something out of a 5 star hotel, as was the bed. amazing value. and the owner couldn’t of been a nicer guy. made me super comfortable and at easy.

We had an amazing experience. The staff was phenomenal and highly professional. My family had a good time and we plan to return. We visited couple all inclusive hotels in Marakesh and this one is the best. Thank you for the amazing experience! Bravo
Everything was good, from checking in to checking out. Lovely staff good selection for breakfast. Would recommend this hotel. Safe family hotel. Very good location. Next to the mall. Everything is near by central location. And 5 star.
Great stay. Small intimate clean room. Quieter part of the Medina. Bader The hotel manager was exceptionally warm and accommodating. Was nice way to end a 3 week trip of Morocco.
This is the third time I have stayed at the hotel, and I will definitely be back. The rooms are huge, the food is good for an all inclusive and the staff are very friendly.
