A great week-end drinking, eating and chilling. Very attentive staff. Nice selection of meals offered. We loved the shepherd's hut and it was in our own secluded spot. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit watching the stars after dark. Our dog also enjoyed himself. Such a dog-friendly place.

The owners have really made an effort to make the cottage as cosy and welcoming as possible. They are on site and available without being intrusive. Everything was quality and tasteful - excellent night's sleep. We were snug even in a cold, wet March (lots of details like warm throws) without using the wood burning stove; it would have been very toasty warm if we had. Gardens are beautifully kept with flowers, trees and wildlife to admire from the kitchen window. Thoughtful touches like bread, milk and butter when we arrived.
