A surprising gem. Breakfast was truly outstanding, a notch above. Owners were friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us since we had no car. The nearby villages of Portloe and Veryan were delightful (pub in Veryan was as authentically local as they come). Room was comfortable, homely, and perfect for us. Good stop for group hikers on the Coastal Path, since it's not too far away.

This is brilliant. The lodge overlooks a picturesque lake, complete with resident nesting ducks. There is a kitchen / dining / sitting area, along with a generous-sized bedroom (four poster bed) and separate bathroom. Upon our arrival we found scones, jam and cream waiting for us and a lovely welcoming note. We met our hosts the next morning, and we loved hearing about how they had built the lodge themselves. Definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.

This was my first time in a 'Glamping pod' and it has set the standards very high for anywhere else offering this type of accommodation! Joe and Kirsty were lovely hosts, they met us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left. The pod had a very homely feel to it, was very comfortable, and K&J even left milk and biscuits for us - which came in handy after a few hours driving. Although I had been to the area before, for people who aren't knowledgeable of the area, there is a booklet left inside the pod with all the information needed about places of interested, food/restaurants, and all about the pod. I can't recommend this accommodation more! I hope to stay again some time 🤩
