Localation is in a very small village about 5 miles from Chaves. Lovely building set on beautiful gardens and with a swimming pool. The breakfast served is wonderful and the dinning room is amazing. We were totally impressed with the welcome we had and the level of service. The kindness shown to us was execptional and this was very much appreciated. We were met by the owner who provided us with a wonderful history of the property and tour of the home and gardens. The home is a former noble manor and looks every inch of the elegance it must have one had. The bed was wonderful, linens superb, and the art and furnishings were sublime. The breakfast was filling and delicious. From start to finish, we could not believe how very lucky we were to have found Quinta de Mata.
