go there and you won't regret it! the place is heavenly, surrounded by greenery, with a well-kept swimming pool, as well as all the outdoor spaces. in the morning birds and bunnies stroll in the garden, they are wonderful. the room, equipped with a kitchenette, is beautiful and functional, very clean. The breakfast was delicious and rich, with hand made products. but best thing are Anne-Lise and Jeremy: two people of rare kindness. we also had dinner there one evening and it was clearly the best dinner of the whole holiday, superior to any restaurant tried, a starred restaurant dinner! Amazing little apartment! Very friendly staff, full facilities including laundry. Beautiful view of Sao Jorge, and super quiet and peaceful at night, we had a great time looking at the stars. A little out of the way so I definitely recommend having a car, and the neighboring town had very little, just one grocery store and a few bars.

Location! the view from the back porch was exceptional. We visited the natural swimming pool built in lava. The market next store is wonderful for groceries, coffee, espresso, and paninis. If you go sit on the patio there about 10 a.m., you’ll be enjoying the company of the beautiful sisters Georgiana and Mary who live down the street. In the evening, go to George’s Rotunda and have a glass of yummy homemade Angelica. The house is beautiful and comfortable and Umberta the housekeeper will take good care of you.
