In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. The location and surrounding area quiet and just relaxing.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Warm welcome, excellent breakfast, ample parking. Great location. The honesty bar was a winner. Highly recommend a stay.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. The room was big enough, clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any request we had. Absolutely recommended. The location is perfect because the bus stop to Windermere and the city centre was 2 mins away.

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. Hotel well located. Two blocks down the main street, a coin operated laundry. Many camping/hiking supply retail shops across from hotel and near by. Nice pool area and spa services. Nice sercivecand food for breakfast.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Sue & Andre were exceptional hosts & presented accomodation that was very comfortable, providing everything we needed. Central location in easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, the lake & pier. On-site easy parking was a bonus. Andre helped us with walking options, Elterwater & the Langdale valley were a photographers dream. Thanks so much for adding to my memorable holiday with my daughter.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... Hotel was great. Room was great. Private hot tub was great.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfast.
