Chef was Michelin Star quality, we wish we had stayed longer as it was far superior to the other 3 vineyards we stayed in.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The place itself is a true paradise, and if I were ever to get married, I'd do it here! They also had a beautiful indoor pool, open from early to late, which was a big plus. And the breakfast was probably one of the best I've had in Portugal!

Only a block from the famous wine bars an old building has been remarkably restored to produce a hotel which is really almost like a member of Small Luxury Hotels. The value for money is outstanding and we come back and back. Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. Arquitects should book to admire the impeccable quality of the restoration. Staff is very, very friendly and helpful.

Quinta Vilar e Almarde býður upp á gistirými í sveitalegum stíl í Castelo de Paiva. The owners could not have been kinder. The lady had my heart as you can tell she loves her property and her garden. This property was like a hidden oasis. It was perfect in every way with an exceptional shower and lots of hot water! We would love to visit again sometime!

Quinta De La Rosa er staðsett í vínhéraði sem framleiðir vín, á hægri bakka árinnar Douro. Það er í fjölskyldueigu, 2 km frá Pinhão. Herbergin á þessari starfandi vínekru og eru á nokkrum hæðum. Our visit to Quinta de la Rosa was simply wonderful and far exceeded expectations. Our room was beautiful with stunning views and dinner in the restaurant (on both nights) was outstanding. We had an excellent wine tour/tasting and did some fabulous hikes including right to the top of the estate. Couldn't recommend a visit here more highly.

Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. Incredible place for a relaxing weekend! We enjoyed everything : the spa, the food and the amazing view. A place to go with your lover :)

Gististaðurinn Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food er staðsettur í sögufrægri sveitagistingu og er umkringdur garði og vínekrum. Þaðan er útsýni yfir fallega Douro-árdalinn. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. Gorgeous hotel situated by the river with incredible view of surrounding landscape. The hotel gave us a welcome champagne to celebrate my husband’s birthday, which is greatly appreciated. We had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel in the heart of the Douro Valley.
