So did our dog who stayed with us and enjoyed the green, pristine hills surrounding the hotel, to the point of meeting - and chasing - a deer on her first walk at our arrival. The hotel management seems family-run and was exceptionally friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied. Altogether an amazing value for the money! The Attersee lake - just a few minutes drive - with its clear, turquoise waters and green, mountainous surroundings overwhelmed our senses. And so did the city of Salzburg just a 40min drive away. We can only recommend this hotel!

Family-run for 5 generations, this inn with butcher’s shop and cosy, non-smoking rooms has a big private beach directly on the lake. Great staff, always friendly and helpful. Clean and cosy room with upscale amenities and a lovely balcony. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant was fantastic. The breakfast was decent but no variety throughout the week. The lake is an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel and guests are offered beach chairs at the private beach.

The owner prepares traditional Austrian cuisine and regional specialities on site. A rich breakfast buffet is available in the morning and there is a conservatory overlooking the lake and the Attersee Golf Course. great location. great views very Austrian

Located on the shores of the scenic Grundlsee Lake in the Styrian Salzkammergut, 5 km from Bad Aussee, MONDI Hotel am Grundlsee offers panoramic views over the lake and the mountains, a spa area, an indoor pool, two restaurants, and free WiFi. We were really impressed by the view, the room has an stunning view to the lake, the studio room was big, cozy furnished, very clean with comfortable and big bed. We've enjoyed an abundant breakfast buffet with a huge variety of options. The staff were attentive and responsive. Last but not least, we had great time during the dinner in a la cart restaurant. All the dishes we ordered were really delicious. We recommend a memorable desert: Salzburg Nockerl. It was the best one we've eaten, even better than the famous ones in Salzburg. Just a small tip for dinner: make an upfront reservation because the restaurant is almost anytime fully booked.
