Delightful hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was amazing!!!! Homemade jams, breads and croissants. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses .. .. and the list goes on. The bed was SO comfortable. Our bedroom was within the house but could only be accessed by a separate staircase so felt private. Our bathroom was upstairs and accessed by a spiral staircase within our bedroom. An enormous and luxurious bathroom. Plenty of on site parking. The gardens and pool were beautiful. It would be a perfect place to stay in Summer too. I would thoroughly recommend Au Clos de Matilde.

Beautiful house and garden. Friendly welcoming hosts. Excellent breakfast on the terrace with panoramic view. Separate kitchen for use of guests. Relaxing on the terrace with cheese and wine.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Our hostess was so welcoming and helpful. She also provided a splendid breakfast at a very reasonable price to get us started on our day. The bed was very comfortable and roomy, the room had charming details, and coffee/tea, water and snacks were provided. The location was fantastic as we were right next to the Christmas Market and the medieval streets while being secluded enough to have peace and quiet. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

1. Perfect place to get away from it all and to relax and unwind. 2. Jérôme could not have been more attentive and welcoming. 3. The house is spacious and elegant with fantastic facilities (we especially appreciated the pool and jacuzzi and will use the tennis courts next time!) and stunning views. There is also a kitchen you and other guests can make use of. 4. Great breakfast experience. Jérôme was very attentive and it is a beautiful spot where you can see Osiris the goat pottering around outside. 5. You can just about reach the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat by foot but a short drive is easier.

Lovely, spacious, clean accommodation in a beautiful and convenient location on the outskirts of Sarlat. The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful in recommending local activities. Would highly recommend.

Great place to go also with your dog. Amazing breakfast & culinary dinners served in chef-style. Nice pool and easy acces to Sarlat and the region!

The accommodation comprises one room with a screen split between the bedroom area and the kitchen/diner which includes a sofa bed. There is a separate toilet, shower and utility room. The rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean with ample cooking equipment both inside and outside. Outside there is a private area which includes table and benches, a 2 seater seat, chairs, and 2 sun loungers. Cooking options outside included a charcoal barbecue and gas grill with charcoal and gas provided. The gardens and pool were well kept and also spotlessly clean. When we visited (September) we were often the only people at the pool. The breakfasts were superb. The owner was a pastry chef and every morning we were provided with bread, pastries, homemade yoghurt and fruit juice. Excellent. The house is about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Sarlat on footpaths, but it was close enough to the countryside to hear owls every night. Lastly, we were allowed to bring our bikes and had plenty of space to store them. Thank you.
