Marilena, holiday home in Skála Kefalonias

Featuring garden views, Marilena features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 1.5 km from Skala Beach. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Spithi Beach, and guests can benefit from on-site private parking and complimentary WiFi. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available.

Zamira and Endy, the owners, were lovely people and just couldn't do.more for us. Several gifts of eggs, onions and courgettes from their land were gratefully received and used. The house is wonderfully equipped and spacious, with everything you could possibly need, the media system is exceptional. The house has a lovely large garden with mountain views in which to relax and, with only a 1O minute walk into the centre is Skala with its many restaurants and bars, in an ideal quiet location.

The property is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Skala, perfect if you don’t want to be too far from town, but far enough to have peace and tranquility in your own homely space. The pool is lovely and was cleaned every other day. The cleaner was good. We were impressed by the thought and care that went into the supplies the host left for us; coffee, bread, fruit, milk, water, cheese and ham, and a few other items, as our flight arrived late so we had no chance to get any food on arrival. Great communication with the host. I would stay again.

The long beach alongside which the coastal road runs is superb. It is evident that the owners take great care of the three villas that make up this complex. Each has its own pool in a relatively private and secluded lawned area.

The location was perfect.Walking distance into Skala,but away from the hustle and bustle,to feel peaceful. The views from all areas of the villa were breathtaking. The pool area,barbecue and sitting areas were fantastic.The owners had given a lot of thought to all aspects of the villa.The kitchen was well equipped and everywhere was nicely furnished,with a lot of homely touches. The villa is family run and the owners could not do enough for us.The villa was cleaned twice during our stay,and on arrival the fridge had been filled with necessities as well as wine and fresh fruit. We will definitely be returning.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the holiday home free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is situated 10 km from The Snakes of the Virgin Monastery.

Our requirement for any lodging is location, cleanliness, and washer. We only do carryons so a washer is essential. When we were looking to book our place in Kefalonia, we looked at various locations within the island and stumbled onto this amazing place. It noted beachfront and town center, so we booked it as it wasn’t too far from the airport. We rented a car from the airport, and it took us an hour to reach this mansion (the roads are windy), and we were ecstatic that we had the good fortune to book this mansion. Prior and during the booking, I asked many questions to Nick, and all were answered promptly. We were able to check in early, and even though we got there later than anticipated, Nick left pizza, wine, water, etc. for us. We met Roula and Thomas who are Nick’s parents, and Roula said, “You are here, in the town center, and you don’t need to go elsewhere. The beach is down there, grocery store is 3 doors down and there are many places to eat nearby.” She was absolutely right. The beach is pristine and amazing and literally a stone’s throw away from the mansion. There is a small supermarket 3 doors down. There is a restaurant to the right and the left of the mansion, so we did a lot of takeout. The house has everything that you would need. Showers were powerful, and it was just the best place to stay. We went to a couple of other beaches, did the caves, but we just stayed in Skala. Every morning, we woke up, went to the beach, came back, had lunch and then walked back to the beach again. Paradise and total relaxation completely different than the frenetic pace of New York City. Sometimes one wonders if all the excellent reviews are really true or not, but this place is the real deal. The whole family really took care of us and asked to get in touch if we needed anything, but we didn’t. It was glorious staying here. Nick, Roula, and Thomas really took good care of us. Do not hesitate to book. I would love to return in the near future.

    We were very impressed with the accommodation. The room is large and nicely decorated, very clean and had all the necessary facilities. I also received a bottle of wine as a welcome gift....thanks for that :) We will definitely choose the same hotel on our next vacation in Kefalonia. Everything was beyond our expectations!

    Location was beautiful, room was comfortable stylish and clean. Everything worked perfectly and bed was comfortable. Pool was wnoderful, also very clean. Was tough to get hold of staff but we did go out of season

    The apartment was very clean with a small kitchen and a terrace at the front overlooking the sea. The building has a garden with lots of flowers and ample parking. The host was there to meet me and very friendly, and the area very quiet.

    Warm welcome on arrival by Spiros and personally taken to the room. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Handwash, soaps and shampoo provided also. Would definitely stay there again.

    Lovely hosts and extremely accommodating. Both Eva (owner) and her mom were lovely to interact with and extremely helpful. Villa was very clean and has all the amenities one may need. Villa is walking distance from the city centre. Private pool was a highlight, with a view of the sea from afar :) - and a lovely seating area to relax. AC worked very well. Shower was great. And we were even provided with cream to soothe sun-burned skin and mosquito repellent which was highly appreciated.
