I really liked the atmosphere in the common area of the hostel. Gabi is a good host who tries to bring people together. She is also a great cook and we had nice self cooked dinners here. The kitchen is pretty well equipped. The owner is also a lovely woman who stopps by and liked to chat. If you know spanish or a little portugues then you can talk to the hosts. They don't really know english here.

Staff was very kind and helpful. They were quick to help with organizing a transfer back to Rio de Janeiro. The hostel is well located; it is close enough to the restaurants and (few) bars, but far enough to have peace and quiet.
