My favourite hostel out of 20+ I’ve stayed in while in Japan! This place is AWESOME! Firstly, the location is great - only 8 mins walk to the main JR station and super close to convenience stores and really nice okonomiyaki restaurant. The owner even made a map with recommendations. The owner is so nice and speaks really good English. The whole time I was there the place was absolutely spotless, so so clean even for Japan. And, uncommonly for Japan, there was a really big common area/lounge with loads of games, books and things for you to hang out with where you can meet people and chat. Capsule was spacious and comfy, the bedding was also very soft and I slept so well when I was there. No noise or disturbance from the sports bar downstairs. This place is a must stay in Hiroshima, especially if you’re a solo traveller!

Opened in June 2017, Hiroshima Hostel EN is a hostel combined with an on-site restaurant. Located in the centre of Hiroshima, the property is a 3-minute walk away from JR Yokogawa Station, while JR Hiroshima Station is 2 stops away via train.

The traditional style Japanese breakfast was good and a pleasant surpise. For around 2,400 yen I got what I needed and wanted, which was a place to sleep.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location. Very close (5-10 min) walk to the Peace Park and the shopping mall. 5 star customer service. Very good breakfast. The room size are average, very clean and very comfortable beds. Quiet location all provide a safe in an area to lock up luggage. I would stay here again, and I recommend this hotel. We booked 2 rooms and stayed for 3 nights at a very good price, great value for your money.

We are a family of 5 (admittedly with very little luggage and stayed overnight) and stayed in the room with six bunk beds. We are pleasantly surprised as to how well the space is utilised. The common area (aka not-for-swimming-pool) on the top floor is also interestingly well done. Add the great location and it's really good value.

Probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. So modern. The bar is fabulous. If I didn't have to leave early I would have loved to have tried their coffee. Such a great, clean and beautiful place. I would absolutely stay again. Shame we couldn't stay longer.

The capsule/cabin dormitory room was the best I stay in. I was expecting just a bunk bed but got a bit more than that as well. I also like that they have the toilet and the shower in a room together. 4 shower/toilet together in the girl cabin.
