Literally a minutes walk from the centre of town and maybe 2 minutes away from the beach. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Air con in the rooms in the evening. Good kitchen, lots of space for your own food.

Located in Abraão, 400 metres from Sain't Sebastian Church, Hostel Refúgio features a garden and a shared lounge. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen for guests. Absolutely great hostel. Really clean, super comfy beds, hang out area, kitchen (altho you can only use from 2 pm, as they serve breakfast), nice staff, good location away from the noise but close enough, I just really loved it.

I really really recommend staying at hostel papagaio. It immediately felt like home, it is a very intimate hostel and the owners are just great hosts. It’s super clean and the common area feels like a living room, the kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is free coffee and if you are lucky snacks. I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have to!
