It's only about 30 minutes to the Brandenburg Gate area or to Ostkreuz, with plenty that's closer or in walking distance. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Didn't get to meet the owner they seem very nice from their welcome message. There are bikes that are free to use for the guest which was the best part.

This youth hostel is located in the centre of Berlin, a 5-minute walk from Berlin Central Station. martas Gästehäuser Hauptbahnhof Berlin ehemals Jugendgästehaus offers a 24-hour reception, a family lounge, guest computers and a kiosk with a wide choice of drinks, ice cream and snacks. We got a 2 beds + 1 bunk bed room for 3 adults. The room was very spacious! More than enough space to lay out our luggage and dry our umbrellas. The location is actually quite close to the Berlin HBF, just 1 bus stop away and it's definitely within walking distance if you have to arrive in the train station super early. The hostel itself is quite close to the nearest bus stop as well if you can figure out the shortcut. When we first arrived it took us close to 15 minutes to find our way and walk from the bus stop to the hostel. However we figured out the shortcut afterwards and were able to walk from the hostel to the nearest bus stop under 5 minutes by crossing the park. There was no hairdryer in the room, but I was able to get one from the front desk with 10 euro deposit. Deposit is fully refundable.

We stayed in double room with its own shower, it was clean and has a lovely view
