Only a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, K's House Takayama Oasis offers free WiFi throughout the property. The place was so cozy and clean, and staff was very kind. We could let our luggage before check-in. Its location was perfect, very close to the station and to the main attractions.

Sakura Guest House is a 10-minute walk from Hida Takayama-mura Folk Village, and offers private and dormitory rooms with free Wi-Fi and shared bathrooms. The owner was kind and patient with customers, and the property had a chill vibe. The bed was really comfy too.

Featuring a shared lounge, Hostel Miyagawa by Murasaki Ryokan is located in the centre of Takayama, less than 1 km from Takayama Station. Excellent location with a beautiful view of Miyakawa. The building is over 100 years old with large timber pillars giving it a rustic japanese feel. The rooms were newly renovated but in a traditional fashion. A 10/10 for a truly immersive Japanese experience
