We stayed in two of the rooms (we had to switch at a certain point because we decided to extend our stay) and both were clean and well crafted. The owner did a really nice job designing the hostel. It was close to the train! It's a small town so there was only a few things that we really needed to walk to. At the gelato shop by the train station there are electric bike rentals. We took them all the way down to Miho no Matsubara and back! If you walk past the train line and towards the water you can access a path along the coast and can see the tetrapods and surfers- amazing! Definitely go to the restaurants recommended by the hosts. We had some really nice encounters and meals. Very safe- we biked home past dark from Miho no Matsubara all the way back to Kambara and didn't have any problems.

Great restaurants and Atami Ginza as well as an amusement area close to the river all within a few minutes walking. The Japanese style room was minimalist but very nice and generous. The host was really charming and I would have stayed two weeks longer there but had to return to Germany.

Everything is so good. The cleanliness, location, comfortable environment are very excellent with a reasonable price.
