Amazing location, watched the sunrise from the beach everyday as it was a couple minutes walk and there's a view point and an amazing beach (where there was nobody) about a 40-50 min walk away. Right next to a bus stop to go into town if you wanted to. A place to go if you want to escape busy life and just relax

Det var så sosialt og lett å komme i kontakt med andre mennesker. Det var mange andre solo reisende, og personalet la godt til rette for at vi skulle kunne bli kjent med hverandre og de lokale. Situated in Machico, 200 metres from Sao Roque Beach, Modern & Recycled Guest House features views of the city. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The host was very kind, and the room was amazing. We had free coffee, free Madeiran bananas - very hard to find on the island good to eat! - and overall the experience was great. Close to the MIUT start, near the beach, in the old center, everything was wow! If we will come to Machico again, this is our first option 100%!

Located within a traditional and historical building in Funchal old town, Santa Maria Hostel is a boutique hostel featuring a vintage-style décor. Great hostel in old town of Funchal. Steps away from restaurants and the market, as well as cable car. Clear check in instructions were given if arriving late. Had a kitchen, several bathrooms, seating area etc. bed room had lockers and locks provided. Wi-Fi worked well. The staff were friendly. The hostel itself seemed to be a historic building and had cool design.

Located in Calheta and within 200 metres of Calheta Beach, The Rum Inn features a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The bedroom had a lot of space and a bathroom included. It was clean. The hostel was close to a supermarket, a car rental place, a gas station and the beach.
