Westertonhill Holiday Lodges with its beautiful countryside views is a newly built modern steading style courtyard development just a 5 minute drive from the village of Balloch on the south west shores of Loch Lomond in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is the ideal place to come and relax and explore the surrounding countryside. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists with the access road to the lodges adjoining the National Number 7 Cycle Route from Balloch to Drymen. Lodge 1 has 3 double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room with WC. There is a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath at the end of the hallway. The sizeable living area has a Smart TV, a large corner sofa and separate sofa bed which sleeps a further 2 guests. The adjoining sunroom has a large oak dining table which comfortably seats eight and has French doors which open out to the private enclosed patio area where there is a comfortable seating area to relax within a bespoke gazebo, a brick-built coal BBQ, dining areas and another bespoke gazebo housing the 6-seater private hot tub. A further set of French doors round from the sunroom gives access from the patio to the modern, well-equipped kitchen/diner with its electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Lodge 2 is a 3 bedroom property with 2 double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and a twin room. There is another shower room as you enter the hall. At the other end of the hallway you will find the open-plan kitchen/living area with a large comfortable sofa and a separate sofa bed which leads through to the bright dining area where the French doors open out to your own private patio area with a hot tub, coal BBQ and seating areas. The hot tub is leased from a separate company. It is available for a separate charge and needs to be booked and paid for in advance of your arrival. You also need to bring coals if you want to use the BBQ.

Neighbourhood information

Boasting beautiful countryside views this property is the perfect place to come to relax and explore the scenic surroundings and is an ideal base for visiting the nearby picturesque villages of Drymen and Balmaha on the East side of loch Lomond and Luss on the west bank of the loch. Balloch which is on the south-west shores of the loch has a train station and supermarket. Close to the shops is Balloch Castle Country Park, Loch Lomond's only country park with impressive views of the loch and its surroundings where there are nature trails to follow or you can just enjoy a leisurely stroll over some of its 200 acres. Across the loch from the country park is Cameron House, the 5 star golf and spa resort where you can treat yourself to a day spa package, enjoy fine dining or book a mountain biking or golf package. The John Muir Way from the shores of Loch Lomond at Balloch to the popular Victorian holiday resort of Helensburgh is popular with walkers and cyclists as is the National Number 7 Cycle Route from Balloch to Drymen which passes by the road to this holiday lodge. If you want to 'bag' a Munro the main path up Ben Lomond, the most southerly Munro in Scotland, can be found at Rowardennan on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond where you can enjoy fabulous views of the Loch from its summit. If your preference is shopping Loch Lomond Shores is a short drive from the village of Balloch. This 5 star visitor attraction is surrounded by scenic views, where you can purchase high street brands as well as designer boutique goods. There you can also book to visit the Loch Lomond Sealife Aquarium, the Bird of Prey Centre or Treezone. For those who want to spend time on the loch there are many watersports available or you can simply relax and enjoy a scenic cruise. Westertonhill Holiday Lodges are ideally located for guests attending popular wedding venues in the Loch Lomond area. These include Cameron House, Ross Priory, Boturich Castle and Duck Bay Hotel and Restaurant.
