The staff was friendly and helpful, when we asked about dining out or finding a laundromat. The full English breakfast was piping hot and delicious . There was also cereal and fruit on the side and lots of hot coffee, tea or cold beverages. We sat in the breakfast room and watched the boats go by. we also enjoyed the pub right downstairs for food and drinks.

Rooms v modern an up to date. Never saw so many electric sockets in a bedroom. All the sheep references. ... ewe have to smile at the legends on the toilet doors. RAMS and EWES. And breakfast menu quotes the Full flock for the fry.

The rooms were stunning and absolutely spotless. Everything you could possibly need was there from fresh milk to crisps and biscuits. The breakfast was a 10/10 and the service from the staff was impeccable. We will definitely be returning in the future, unbelievable stay all round 😁

The George inn was something out of history and the couple running the inn joined us for wine while we had dinner. Lovely company! Great stop for hiking along the Dale's way.
