The audio-guided tour is thorough, enjoyable but a little exhausting. We took 3-4 hours to walk through. Still, it is thrilling to visit a Roman bath excavation and see the wonders of it all up front and personal. The entrance fee is substantial but how often does one get to visit such a place?

If you go towards the end of the day it is a little quieter and you get to see the baths as the sun goes down with pool lit up with fire torches. Very atmospheric in the winter months. Allow yourself at least an hour and a half!

FANTASTIC cultural experience, but go early - we were in at 9.30am and narrowly avoided some enormous queues. PS take the free audio guide which contains gold mines of information not found in the exhibit.

We booked in advance for access as soon as the baths opened.
We booked in advance for access as soon as the baths opened. It meant an early breakfast but was really worth it because as the day went on the baths got more and more busy. We had a chance to see everything close up at our own speed and without large crowds. I

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was walking distance from the main attractions such as The Roman Baths and Jane Austen building. I was surrounded by beautiful Georgian architectural buildings. It was so lovely to be near the River Avon as well. Definitely would like to visit Bath again.
the hotel location is very central, 5 min. from the Roman Baths and the Abbey. We are very grateful to the young man at reception, who changed our room to a very quiet one at the back of the hotel. There was no view, apart from the solar panels, but we did not mind that, as we were sight-seeing during the day anyway. And we wanted a quiet and restful sleep. Breakfast was good with poached or boiled eggs being done on request and a good variety of food items, though a little more and different fresh fruit options would have been nice.
Quiet and calming accomodation. Pleasant steep walk into Bath but can always bus on return. Novelty to use Aga if you havn't got one and enjoy cooking. Massive fridge and freezer and plenty of utensils for two.Bed extremely comfortable. So much to do in Bath . The Thermae Spa is a tonic. I recommend the free walking tour from outside the Roman Baths which takes place daily.
The location was perfect, easy walk to the Roman Baths and to a wonderful choice of interesting shops. Also close to Hop-on Hop-off bus stop.
Loved the hotel’s classic elegant style.
Top marks for fresh milk in the room fridge.
The hotel was very central to all of Bath’s main shops and tourist attractions. 5 minutes from the Roman Baths and close to great selection of bars and restaurants.
We didn't try the breakfast, so no comment
The room we nice, and the large bed extremely comfortable.
The location was away from the crowds, but a very short walk away from the Roman Baths and and other amenities.
The place is beautiful with amazing views of the abbey and the roman baths. We were lucky enough to get some snow so the view got even better. The host was wonderful and gave all the help needed. I would definitely recommend and would be my first option in bath next time I travel again.
It was a perfect location for enjoying Bath. It was close to the Roman baths and the Abbey. The room was clean and airy, and the toiletries had a lovely fragrance. There was a good selection on the breakfast menu.
The receptionist was so friendly! The room was the most budget option, but still so comfortable and had plenty of space. Its a very short walk to the roman baths and iverall a great location. Overall fantastic. No complaints here
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in the Standard apartment which was very clean, modern and spacious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The apartments location is excellent. Tesco Express is literally next door to the apartment and Sainsbury’s across the road. A few pubs and restaurants are within a minutes walk, and key attractions like The Circus and the Roman Baths Museum are under 10 mins walking distance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend staying here.
