The rooms are equipped with amenities such as TV, Wi-Fi, AC, Power backup, RO & UV processed clean water, attached bathroom with free toiletries and an open terrace garden for guests to relax and breathe fresh air. Some of the rooms also have a private kitchen with refrigerator and required utensils for cooking and serving. Washing machine is available in the property for guests to use. The area is lovely, more like staying in a village than a city, 20 odd mins from the airport. We found the locals there friendly and helpful too, Also very near by are shops & cafes, approximately a 2 min walk. The hosts Sam and Latha were fabulous! Helped make our stay a memorable one for sure, taking care of our every need when we needed, helping us with obtaining sim cards! (hard to get in Chennai for foreigners) also booking the train for our onward journey, arranging taxis for around chennai whenever we needed, food delivery, currency exchange, (very good rates) Our room was comfy and quiet, the Homestay is situated in a no through road. If you are flying in from another country and you do book a stay there, my advice is to let Sam & Latha to pre arrange a car pick up as there is no option for foreigners to purchase sim cards at the airport, So you'll have no internet use for using uber cabs etc) so you may (like us) be victims of a fleecing taxi cab guy that operate at the airport, We ended up paying 3 times the going rate. Just arrange things beforehand with Sam & Latha they'll sort things out...I can only give glowing Praise to these 2 people.😍
