Location was right in the middle of Vernazza, next to all the restaurants and sights. They provided a crib which was very thoughtful for us. A bottle of champagne was left in the fridge as a welcoming gift, nice touch.

The apartment was absolutely pristine clean. They have considered everything; from spices for cooking to hair dryers and straighteners. The location is phenomenal and the apartment is huge! I couldn’t speak more highly of Alice and this apartment. If you are considering booking, don’t hesitate - it is perfect.

You are here to hike the trails and enjoy amazing local wine, food, the beaches, and hopefully a new friend or two - so don’t expect ultra luxury. That said, the location is perfect, the rooms are very clean and so get out and explore this beautiful place in the world!

The breakfast cooks were so responsive and fast with preparing all orders. The outdoor breakfast area amongst lemon trees was beautiful. The hotel is in old town Monterosso which is the least hilly of the 5 villages so rolling our luggage from the train station to hotel was not a major undertaking. Location is outstanding, property to die for (attention to detail is something else!) but what made the whole experience for us was our host .we stayed 3 nights and looked forward to waking up every morning for margaritas breakfast it was so personal and attention to detail was 5 star +, she was such a lovely genuine person we honestly were sad leaving .

If looking to do the village hops (ferry or train) highly recommend Monterosa as your base and La Spaglia as your bed. The staff are exceptional. Don't expect five star luxury, but the bare rooms, arched walkways, and stunning views all have the most immense charm. The restaurant looks like nothing special - until the food arrives, which is absolutely excellent - and so dinner time is unsurprisingly popular!
