The hotel was in a good location, free parking, was new, so so so clean and had great technology in the room including tap access to WiFi, Netflix, touch lights and modern shower. The bed was super comfy and the view was gorgeous. The shower had Ritual products and there was a cute coffee making area in the hall. The breakfast was delicious especially the coffee and hot chocolate. The staff was amazing, they were well informed, spoke English and were so kind. And again, the place was so clean!

Located in Thun, 29 km from Bärengraben, Schloss Schadau - Swiss Historic Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Living in Australia, we don't have castles. So the opportunity to stay in a castle was too good to pass up. Schloss Schadau did not disappoint. We were met at reception by Helen who could not have been more helpful and was also had a wealth of knowledge about the property. She personally showed us to our beautiful room which had a magnificent view of the lake and the Alps behind. If you stay here you simply MUST have dinner here as well. Again there is no escaping from the fact that you are in a castle ! The dining room(s) are luxurious and the food and the service are excellent, matching the decor. Breakfast is served in the same location. It wasn't cheap, but hey ! It's a castle. If you are able to stay one night or more here. You should do it. Unforgettable.
