The friendly Hôtel de Ville is located in the centre of the beautiful village of Château-d'Oex in the picturesque valley of the Pays d'Enhaut in the Canton of Vaud. Terrific value! My room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. I liked having the kettle, tea and coffee. I had to leave early the next day and the owner was kind enough to provide me with a really good breakfast to go. I've been hiking across Switzerland for the last 3 weeks and this hotel was my favorite. Highly recommended.

Situated in Chateau-d'Oex, Chalet Nostalgie is a recently renovated accommodation, 23 km from Rochers de Naye and 47 km from Chillon Castle. Many things to point out. I liked the charm of an old (but nicely restored) chalet from the 18th century, the calmness of the neighborhood, the view on the church and overall the views on the mountains, the freshness of the nights that diverge from overheating cities in summertime, the proximity with all the commodities of the nice and clean mountainous small town with polite people. A very relaxing holiday time with the possibility to make many activities, have a good time and get nice memories. I shall definitely go back. God willing.
