Bellissima struttura: sembra un museo di storia cinese e archeologia, tutto in legno, curato nei minimi dettagli, ricchissimo di decorazioni, statuine, vasi ed elementi della tradizione cinese. Tante e spaziose aree comuni, buona colazione. Lo consiglio.

Located in Yuncheng, 26 km from Yuncheng North Railway Station, Yuncheng Yunxi Furusato-Banma Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a... Friendly and polite staff, very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

The Elsewhere hotel was a little gem: it felt like were were staying at one of the ancient buildings we saw around town, while still having the comfort of a modern hotel room. I would recommend accepting the pick up service offered from the train station, since it's quite far from the hotel: we were greeted by Alice, who spoke excellent English and who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even booking the tickets for the city's attractions with her own phone and account when mine didn't want to cooperate. We went to Ping Yao to experience ancient China, and came away with the experience of a lifetime.

The staffs were absolutely amazing. One of the best services I have seen so far. The hotel offers free minibar for guests and breakfast is on ala carte basis and food quality is top notch. The hotel is located in ancient Pingyao city (no car zone). Taxi would have to drop guests off at main road which is few minutes walk to the hotel. I would recommend guests to take up pick up and drop off services offered by the hotel as all streets in Pingyao looks the same (like maze) and it's relatively easy to get lost while trying to find the hotel on your own.

Ospitato in un tradizionale cortile con una storia di 300 anni, il Pingyao Yide offre camere in stile cinese con mobili in legno pregiato fatti a mano e opere d'arte. Yide Hotel was incredibly beautiful and serene! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I emailed across my arrival train and they arranged (for a very small sum!) for me to be picked up- the same on the way back to Pingyaogucheng, which was immensely helpful. On the day I arrived I happened to get an upgrade on my room- can't be guaranteed, but was great. The breakfast was delicious- I had a lovely tea, scrambled eggs and toast. There were many more options and it was unlimited in how much you had! They gave me a useful map and talked me through the top sites to see. Overall a brilliant stay.

Great location. Excellent and helpful staff. Loved the property. You are in the heart of the ancient city. The light and sound show is almost next door. Arranged complimentary pick up from station and drop off at station. We would have missed the light and sound show if not their coffee shop staff had not advised us. They also gave us beautiful mementoes when we were leaving.
