The breakfast was amazing with lots of options, and the restaurant also had the best steak I've had in a long time. The view from the room was stunning with an amazing view of the city and sea. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing stay. I'll definitely be back.

Located in the heart of Chania, within 450 metres from the Venetian harbour, the modern Samaria Hotel is ideally situated just above the main square, next to the central bus station. Perfect location. Walking distance to the old town and beach. Hotel valet parking was also available. Hotel had a serene calm feel. Very clean and rooms were quality. Breakfast was excellent, great restaurant quality food where the variety changed daily. The restaurant even presented me with a complimentary birthday cake which was a lovely surprise and made the day even better! Staff were brilliant, from reception to the concierge to everyone in the restaurant, facilities and even the Pianist that gave light evening entertainment.

    The hotel is excellent from all aspects. Super clean, quiet though in the middle of the town, very close to everything, beautiful pool and breakfast area, correct pricing and excellent service. They gave me an upgraded room without even asking and the room had welcome drinks and fruits. They also accommodated my need for an early check in. Must note that breakfast has fresh orange juice something you don’t find even in top expensive hotels. I was really pleased from my stay and will stay again in the future.

    The place was perfect as the pictures. Breakfast and buffet was awesome. Staff was very helpful and kind. Everything we needed, they arranged, including car rental. Highly recommeded!

    Hotel has great location, right at the beach, everything is spotless clean and they keep the covid protocol very strict, we feel very comfortable there. The food was exceptional, especially the desserts were very delicious. We loved the breakfast in the roof garden restaurant with the magical sea view. The hotel has many beautiful swimming pools. The staff was very professional and always kind and helpful, especially the barman Panagiotis was always very nice and made the best cocktails!!! The animation team is also doing great job, Nellie was very friendly, we liked her very much!!! We wish we could stay longer than one week, but we’ll definetely come back next year!!! Thank you Porto Platanias for great holiday😘

    We loved everything. The food is excellent, delicious, fresh, and offers a wide variety of choices. The Greek salad and Greek yogurt were exceptional. Bus station to Chania is a few steps away The hotel has 2 beaches, both are sandy & amazing The personnel - everyone is nice and helpful 2 pools outside and one inside (heated) Elevator in the building Pool bar - you can take your drink to the beach Got beach towels and sunbeds with umbrella You can literally feel a sense of calmness there

    The kindness of the stuff, the food (the chef created marvelous and very taste Cretan food), the wonderful room, the beach, spa, the tours arrangement, the cleaning ladies. They made everything to be easy and friendly. The reception helped us to stay an extra day. My husband and I had a very good time. We definitively will go back to Kiani on our next trip to Crete.

    They have really nice and helpful staff. Restaurants were serving delicious food with great variety. Rooms were cleaned every day. The pools and the bars were fantastic.

    The staff were very accommodating and friendly. My family and friends purchased the all inclusive option for the resort. The rooms were comfortable and family friendly. Activities were planned throughout the day and the activities director was always available for fun! Lots of places to see close to the location. Highly recommend
