Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The hotel is beautiful and well constructed, as well as really well decorated. The rooms are big eniugh and have a great heating system. The bathroom is also good. The water smells a little bit like sulphur, but that happens in several region on Iceland and is not something super strong.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very cozy cabin! Also, the personnel was lovely and super kind!

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient and close to eateries, grocery stores and gas stations. The rooms and facilities were clean. We had a comfortable stay here.

The outside appearance was deceiving, from the inside it was such a cute, warm and welcoming facility. The rooms were modern and bright, and it was so close to the canyon. We had a three-bedroom room, and there was enough space for all of us to move around. One of our lights wasn't working and the staff immediately replaced it for us. There was a restaurant on site where you could have dinner and breakfast.

Hotel Eskifjörður is located in Eskifjörður. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. A great secluded hotel accommodation just slightly off the main road, and a few minutes drive from Egilsstaðir and very close to the start of Route 93 towards Seyðisfjörður Staff were very friendly, and the common facilities [WC | Breakfast Buffet | Hot Tubs] were clean and readily accessible. Additional towels and bath robes available on request. Very attractive lounge with a balcony available at all times near the reception desk. The cabins were very cozy and compact, with sink + stove | dining table | bed | couch all in one area, then narrow bathroom off to the side. The hotel is in a prime location for Northern Lights viewing as well. I would recommend walking past the reception area and parking to the small gravel road leading down to the secluded house, and setting up there along the road. If preferring other locations for viewing, there are numerous parking spots on Route 93 as well, which are far enough from the town where light pollution isn't much of a concern.

This design hotel is located in Fáskrúdsfjördur village in Iceland’s Eastfjords region. It offers free parking and tastefully decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. The staff at this hotel were amazing and super friendly. We were disappointed at the weather, but the location still looked beautiful under the mist. Super clean and comfortable.

Exceptional rustic chic room with all amenities. Very clean and quiet with a massive bathroom. Windows overlooking some of the majestic small waterfalls. Private parking available in front of the property. Amazing breakfast. Freshly made croissants and other pastries and a very big spread to suit all tastes. Staff was very polite and helpful.
