This place is amazing, very unique and a perfect mix of contemporary with a homage to the tradition and the landscape it sits within. The hosts were very hospitable and welcoming and obviously very proud of what they have achieved. The food was delicious as was the wine and our only regret was that we couldn't enjoy the place for longer.

Better than expected. closer to four stars than three in my opinion. The room was clean. breakfast was nice. Located close to Etna, Taormina and other attractions. The pool is not heated, but that didn't stop us from enjoying it. you can also eat lunch and dinner on site - very tasty.

Loved the hotel and staff, they were so friendly and accommodating. The wine tasting is a must do. The staff arranged everything for us including a Mt Etna tour. The spa was great, we took full advantage of its services and wellness area. We will definitely be back!

the drive up through the volcanic landscape - gorgeous. already around the Refugio a lot of beautiful volcanic craters to explore. we stayed in one of the attic rooms which was cute and comfy. the restaurant was great - good portions, good value, good food, great service. all in all there was a really good vibe and it far exceeded our expectations for a mountain Rifugio. of course the location is in the middle of the touristic hub for etna, but it all dies down after the crowds leave.
