They made our stay very pleasant.

Walking distance from the outdoor Sami Museum- really walking distance as i have sciatica and lower back pain and i managed it in heavy snow boots. . We went down there twice as the people there were so welcoming. We made sami flat bread over a roaring fire one day and went back for lunch the next day, highly recommended.

Grand Hotel Lapland is situated in the centre of Gällivare, directly opposite Gällivare Train Station. This area is known for both the midnight sun and the unique northern lights. View from room absolutely outstanding, we got room with view to mountain and lake, absolutely gorgeous. Very comfortable bed. Very nice rain shower and spacious clean bathroom. Definitely one of best accommodations I had.

Located by Mount Luossavaara, Malmfältens Folkhögskola offers free parking and brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi and a TV. All guests have access to a shared kitchen and lounge. - Incredibly good breakfast! With cooked salmon, eggs, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, vegetables, very healthy overall. - Amazing location, quiet and we have seen the northern lights from outside the building as the complex is near a hill. - Free sauna, warm rooms, hot water, self checkin - library, restaurant, play rooms, dorm like atmosphere, we had a 3 beds reservation and we had a 2 room apartment, one had the single bed, very good for snoring travelers. Tip: If u want to use the sauna let the staff know beforehand so they can leave u a key for the sauna.
