Excellent bathroom with new towels and bedding. Breakfast is amazing, lots of variety. The staff is very polite. We stayed twice at this hotel on our trip to Uruguay, and we will certainly stay again in the next one.

The Alma Hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. The hotel, our room, the staff and location were all superlative. Hidalgo and Nelson booked us with good restaurants, were so helpful with travel plans, and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast of omelets, baked goods, fruit and coffee was generous and delicious. The Cuidad Vieja was a lovely place to stay, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it was quiet and safe.

I discovered after I arrived that I had tested positive for Covid-19. Though I was never actually ill, I isolated in my room for 10 days. The staff, who spoke excellent English, were extremely kind to me. It was a traumatic time for me, and they made me feel happy, safe, and well taken care of.
