Situated in Nelly Bay, just 50 metres from the beach, Island Leisure Resort offers self-contained bungalows with a flat-screen TV. The property also features a swimming pool and tennis court. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions and also spoke to me showing an interest in my holiday experience overall. For example, one staff member told me more information about Ravenswood from her own personal understanding of this gold mining town. We loved the pool because it was clean and a great swimming experience. I loved how the spa is a shallow part of the pool rather than a heated exclusive area. The Polynesian style accommodation was the size of a two bedroom unit and it was easy to keep clean. It also had kitchen facilities. It was just what we wanted. We were located walking distance from the beach and a grocery store. The boys loved the games room. We played pool a couple of times and tennis.

Peppers Blue on Blue is set in tropical surrounds on Queensland’s magical Magnetic Island. Offering beautiful marina and mountain views, it is a 25-minute ferry ride from Townsville. Peppers blue is a fantastic property. The pools are great. Staff where very helpful. Great location for access to ferries and buses. Having breakfast included was a bonus.

Just 700-metres from Nelly Bay Beach, Amaroo On Mandalay offers an outdoor pool, 2 tennis courts and a fitness centre. All rooms offer a kitchenette, a flat-screen TV and a patio with garden views. Amazing place to stay! I’ve been to Magnetic Island before and it was awesome, but this time I had an even better experience staying at Amaroo On Mandalay. Great staff!!!
