We stayed for 7 nights and the only (very small, of very little consequence) item that we didn’t love was that halfway through our stay when we had our towels changed, housekeeping also threw away the bar of soap beside the basin in the bathroom that we had been using to wash our hands - we would have been happy to continue using the same bar of soap for handwashing for the duration of our stay to avoid waste.

While it was a little on the pricey side compared to other similar properties in the area, we couldn’t have been happier with the modern and well appointed facilities, super helpful staff and great proximity to the CBD and waterfront.

We were very happy with our apartment and it was in a convenient position for the Convention we were attending. We were also close to the shops as well. One of our party loved the pool, the rest of us found it too cold. As we had a late plane out the facilities were great for us to spend some hours in comfort, tea, coffee, toilet and shower were all available.

The decor and furniture are as new, but styleless. Could benefit from some art and accessorising.

Car park was very hairy to navigate; I wasn’t game to chance the tight corners and left driving to the menfolk in our group. They soon became accustomed to it.

Loved everything about our stay at the Argus. We were gob snacked by the size of our two bedroom apartment- one room had an ensuite; the other was next to a bathroom. Both were more than adequate in size. Great living space, comfy couches. Loved having a washing machine and big balcony. Appreciated the many ceiling fans in addition to air conditioners. Easy three block walk to Smith Street mall. About 20 minute walk to waterfront. Basement parking reasonable $9/day. Finally, staff were excellent- from our cleaners to reception. Special thanks to the receptionist on our checkout day, who was kindness personified.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, it definitely exceeded our expectations.

The facilities and size of the apartment were better than we thought they would be. We stayed as a couple and had a single friend travelling with us and we didn't feel cramped at all. Definitely has all that is required to cook or heat up all meals without having to eat out for every meal. If you did want to eat out, you didn't have to walk far to get some nice meals.

The set up and comfort of the room for our family was fantastic. The pool was a good depth and size for small children to be in. The room was very spacious.

The toilet that was communal (not an ensuite) was out of order for a couple of days and due to the weekend and public holiday was not fixed immediately. This was tricky during the night, having to disturb others by entering their bedrooms to use the bathroom. The staff however were very good at communicating the status of the repairs.

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the four-bedroom penthouse suite which was so beautiful and spacious. There were four separate bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a wonderful living area and superb views from two separate balconies.

Needs better cleaning under and around the leather sofa seats (they were full of food crumbs). Everything else was spotless.

Our apartment was spacious and clean, perfect for our family. We were right in the city centre and could easily walk to restaurants and activities. The pool was cool, and there was a barbecue for guest use. We had underground parking for our hire car and it was easy getting in and out of the city centre. All staff were friendly and accommodating.

The pool area could do with a update. Pool very cold . The aircon in some of the rooms did not work .

The parking was a bit tricky and the $9/ day… probably should be included in the daily rate.

Argus Apartments were enormous, spotlessly clean, they were close to everything and the apartments had everything that your own home would have.
