The hostel which is located on a hill, offers a stunning view on the coast and the sea. It is also characterized by an abundant vegetation which contains various animal species. It is such an amazing place to find tranquility. The owners and the volunteers are always welcoming and helpful ! However, it is absolutely necessary to have mosquito repellent ! I would come back without any doubt soever !! Thank you for everything.

Great location. Beautiful. Basically a treehouse. Views of the sea. Feed monkeys in the morning. Good social areas. Mosquito nets provided (which were needed). Staff lovely. Kitchen small but well equipt. Really made our time great. Although massive and steep climb from where taxi can drop you off - Ubers can’t drop you off outside.

Amazing view. Surrounded by jungle. Monkeys climb the trees in the mornings. Felt like I was in a tree house. Amazing staff. Good vibes. 5 min walk to the center.

The hostel road is quite hard trekking for road, the hostel doesn't have wash mashing or barbecue, as it said in the description

The view is SPECTACULAR, and you can even enjoy it while chilling in one of two hammocks. Bento is a sweetheart, and Maya is a firecracker! 😄 The staff was really great and the guests were really fun to chat and go hiking with. I vhose this hostel vecause it was close to a really pretty hike (trilha boa vista) and what I was met with was the most beautiful hostel, in the most amazing neighbourhood. I loved all of it! There are surfers at all times of the day at the praia de Barra da Lagoa, they're mesmerizing to watch :) The only downside is that Floripa can be really cold in october, which I didn't expect but Bento lent me a sweater. Also, there's only a small kitchen with one stovetop, so it might be a little difficult to make food if all the beds are filled, because without having specifically counted, I'd say there's space for at least 14 people in the main room and space for another 6-8 people in the secondary smaller room. But I'm not sure all those beds ever get filled, it's just a thought I had while cooking! Also, all thr basic cooking necessities are provided (oil, salt, sugar, spices), so you don't have to buy them :)

Laundry is often busy but there is a local laundrette 10 minutes walk away "Sol e Mar"

The hostel has probably the best view in all of Barra de Lagoa! It is open and spacious and the rooms do not feel crowded at all! Maya, Gilberto and all the other staff were amazing hosts and always fun to be around. The common area is clean and relaxing with quirky decorations and instruments, also a well equipped kitchen! The rest of the town is easily accessible. The main beach is a 5 minute walk and a quieter cove just around the corner. Buses run regularly from the town to all other parts of Florianopolis! The walk up to the hostel is not easy - but not difficult and well worth the views and atmosphere! An unmissable stay!

There are not much rules about noize so hopefully you get a group of people who respect other people's sleep since the downstairs room is next to the living room. Also bring bug repellent :)

The staff is just lovely and the vibe of the hostel is homy and relaxed. The owner, Beto is proud of his hostel and it shows. The view from the balcony and the monkeys are worth the long climb to reach the property. In the hot day, it is very comfortable to stay up there with the breeze.
