Very noisy aircondition unit, loud voices at night. The cloth hook at the back of the bathroom door needs repair!

So far I find the room neat and not that bad cause I was able to slept well, but you can tell that it's a bit need of a fixing, but passable for a budget stay. Not that bad.

No continental breakfast as listed on the website. It took a very long time to get hot water to the bathroom sink. The flat screen tv was smaller than my computer monitor at home.

This is an older facility and has many battle scars. The price was fair.

I didn't like the girl at the reception who cheated me out of $10. I didn't like that the staff barges into the room without even knocking on the door, I didn't like your hidden fees of 30 dollars. I reserved a room in advance and paid $60 in full, then at the reception they told me to pay $30 "commission" Thank you, I hope I never come back to you,

- The bed is squeaky, it make a lot to sounds as I turn - The room temperature cannot be adjusted, it just stays there and there is a portable heater in the room, yet that is a light sourced based one? the room will be very bright as we leave it on. I felt cold even with blanket on - Facility looks very old

It smells like cigarettes everywhere. The bedding when I first came in wasn’t very clean. There were hairs and other little things. I slept with my cloths on because of how uncomfortable it made me. The bed sheet was falling off the mattress and I could see the stains on the mattress. The upstairs hall way doesn’t seem very inviting it’s a little dark and something from a horror movie

Its dingy, dirty, sketchy, like half of the stuff isn’t working. I know it’s cheap but its dirt cheap. I found hair EVERYWHERE. Under the blankets on the mattress. In between the towels even after refreshing the towels there were still hair. And its literally EVERYWHERE. It’s not mine cause its long. The fan was SUPER dirty like caled with dust and everything im not even kidding and the a/c wasn’t working (from october to april)

I like how its really close to downtown and everything else. Its cheap.

The facilities are not very clean. The front desk staff are not the friendliest at times and certainly are not accommodating. I was given dirty/stained sheets and towels to use. I never asked housekeepers to clean my room and, I left it cleaner when I left than it was upon arrival. I was told upon checkout that I would get my damage deposit back that day and discovered later that they kept $98 of my $100 damage deposit because some of the towels I used were dirty. ??? Their ad says breakfast is included - that is false information. There are no visitors allowed at any time! They charged me an extra $16 because I hd a friend pop by for a visit.

I never got to sleep there because apparently, I needed a security deposit on a credit card which I don't have. I was also not refunded by booking fees. Very disappointed.

The room was cold I had to turn on the stove burners to warm the room. I was charged for a dirty towel that I had used to clean melted snow on the floor. They said it was stained, how do you know a towel is stained until you try and wash it. They declined my reservation so they could charge me more money. I will never stay at a Canadian best value again

Don't fall for the promise of affordable rooms- it WILL cost more than shown. They upcharge like crazy. Charged us $57 bacause they found some make-up on one of their towels after we left. Another person at check out says they have ALWAYS found some reason to keep a little damage deposit, so work that into your budget. The day staff was terrible. Pretty sure they just didn't like the look of us, and made things difficult on purpose. It was a nightmare start to finish. Coming in for a concert, We booked through booking.com who took my card, pre-paid. (Somehow it double booked me and charged me at 2 different prices a week apart- I assumed the second fee the day before travel was them securing my security deposit). When we got there, staff refused my card for security deposit, refused any alternatives, saying the bank issuing wasn't issued through "the right bank" (it was my buisness mastercard... and I'd used it there before a couple years ago)...? Told us there was no other option for security deposit... nothing they could do, and we'd have to go through booking.com again to cancel because they couldn't from there... I called a local friend to use their card and then was told we had book rooms that match the name on card. Because it was day of, we couldn't get any refund, there was the original $85, plus the day before charge of $108 now up in smoke. The only rooms they could book us at late notice cost a total of $400 out of pocket (plus the dep. on my friend's cc). So, as we were back from our concert, there was a staff change. We went to check in, and there was an elderly couple just finishing getting booked, and the gent asked staff "if I didn't have a this credit card, what would have happened?" And night staff gave him three different options they could have taken for security deposit, including secured credit cards, all of which was exactly what we offered to staff that was refused earlier.

It was clean enough- no bugs. Holes in walls and doors were patched. Nothing leaked. Small Coffee pot in room. Had toiletries available to use. Had a security camera on our truck.
