How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Internet did not work. Front desk told us there was no password needed, when we got to the room, we couldn’t get online and when called front desk was told that it was down and would be Monday before it could be fixed. Tub faucet leaked, walls were thin-noisy, was hard to regulate temperature.

The parking lot was terrible. Many potholes and broken pieces of asphalt everywhere. There should have been signs or acknowledgement of some sort. The lights by the beds were not plugged in so I moved the night stand to reach the plug. It was very dusty there. Also the night stand was sticky on the underside. It should washed. The top of it was fine.
Convient for the stay. Room was mostly clean.

Change at the till. There was not really any and I wanted to purchase items from the fridge and freezer. However no change available, either I was left short or the motel was left short.
Easy log in at reception. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good choice of breakfast hot and cold. Plentiful hot drinks with many flavours.

Driveway to the hotel entrance & parking lot had many bumps & potholes, should be upated. Room was dated and could use some updating, as well, but overall, we would stay here again!
Quick & friendly staff upon check in / check out. Great location for relaxation & shopping for our trip. Room size was great - lots of space & extra room for those early morning risers who don't want to wake up the rest of their party.

Major potholes and driveway was like an alleyway that made us wonder if we were going to the hotel or not.
Room was huge with a separate living room area.

The room could have a little restoration. Cracked and chipped walls could use an update. Shower curtain rod falling off, outside door to room card lock wouldn’t work, breakfast was cold.
The desk clerk was exceptionally helpful. Very polite and courteous. The room was good. Mine was not ready but I was put into another quickly with no waiting.

The lobby is reeking with heavy scented air freshener fragrances which really irritated my asthma while checking in. The rooms are not as fragranced and they have windows with screens to get fresh air. The lobby is another story. My lungs are still smarting from the exposure and I had to use inhalers once I got to my room.
The room is was very clean and had all the conveniences that I like in a room. It had a desk and tv service with many channels. It was close to the highway and therefore convenient for anyone who is looking to stop for the night while travelling between destinations. It is close to several service stations as well as the Casino, A&W, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, etc. This motel is tucked in off of Mountain road and easy to miss. It is on a long paved lane filled with potholes - drivers beware - huge potholes.

The room didn’t open after 2 attempts so they upgraded us. The parking lot was half under water and the road was in very bad condition. Also the only sign was on the road. It was unclear if I in fact found the right place.
Close to highway. Seemed newly renovated. Breakfast included was fine too.

My first room I had to be switched because the key lock on the door didn’t work, then the room I was switch into the thermostat didn’t work. Building as a whole could use some upgrades

All good.
Room was well stocked with microwave, large tv, fridge, litter bins, towels and a very welcome lounge chair which was used for the 3 night stay. Very comfortable watching tv and relaxing.

The folding closet doors were broken. Wall patches not painted. Shower curtain rid loose and ready to fall off. Television wasn't clear and distorted.

The furniture in the suite was a bit outdated and the phone in the bedroom didn't work
