It is an older style building but our room on 2nd floor was very clean and plenty of natural light and quite roomy. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great and good choice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The position was wonderful - could walk to everything around Victoria.

8th stop of our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, we spent 2 nights at The Embassy Inn. What we liked: + Ideally located in Victoria + Beautiful, well-equipped room with excellent bedding + More than adequate breakfast + Fairly good value for money

The hotel really need a upgrade as the AC is totally old school and it takes time to cooldown and interior needs a facelift,bed,tv are comfortable and no noise from outside

Breakfast choices could be better. For example - there was no plain yogurt or plain breakfast cereals, only sweet choices.

Sheets on the bed were very stiff which made sleeping not as restful as it could have been. Rooms are a little tired - very clean - but could use a refresh. No gym or pool/hot tub in case these amenities are important to you. Free bottled water not provided but you can buy bottled pop or water from vending machines in the lobby.

The location & breakfast were amazing. Free parking and breakfast included. The breakfast staff were on hand to keep items replenished & to maintain cleanliness. One of the front desk staff was amazing (brunette lady was cheerful, professional, helpful & friendly - always had a smile - wished I had gotten her name to give a shout out). Pillows & bed were super comfortable! Housekeeping was friendly & efficient. Located ideally to important tourist attractions at the inner harbor - Legislative buildings, IMAX, BC Museum, easy walking distance to water taxi, Fisherman’s Wharf, The Empress Hotel and other shopping venues. One block from bus #70 & 72 that take you to Swartz Bay Ferry terminal (great for walk-on travellers who don’t bring a personal vehicle to the island). Starbucks 1 block away.

We would have preferred natural yoghurt and English bacon instead of the crispy bacon for breakfast, but we certainly didn't go hungry!!

The staff was helpful and allocated us a nice room on the top floor, but it had a skylight letting in too much light so we were quickly changed to the same style room on the floor below. Having the 2 queen beds was great for really being able to sprawl in bed. The beds were comfortable and the view from the room over downtown Victoria was lovely. It was close to everything and there was free parking including undercover in the building's garage. The breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of choice.

The breakfast in the morning was excellent each day. Our room was refreshed every day. It made a great holiday for my wife and I. We will be back in December. The girl at front desk reminded us to ask for the medical rate when we come back as it will be for medical visits. Have already recommended the Embassy to friends.

We were very happy with the fabulous location, right at the harbor. Great price. We just stepped off the ferry and walked 1/2 a block to the hotel

There was a large variety on f fresh eggs, breads, fruit, waffles, potatoes, different protein each day, staff made sure all bins were full and fresh. Best buffet breakfast we’ve had in a long time. Beautiful dining room too.
