Staff was probably the friendliest I have ever encountered. We walked in and had done online pre check in and told the gentleman in the lobby our room number, and he whisked us over to and into the elevator and sent us on our way to our room. Our room was beautiful and clean. Large bathroom with plenty of counter space. I had requested a quiet room and never heard another living soul the entire time we were there. We ordered room service from the restaurant in the hotel and everything was fresh and delicious. L'occitane bathroom products. Anything you could possibly need was within walking distance, food, shopping, museums, the Bay. We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the cruise ship port, which was just 2 blocks away. Highly recommend as it's a beautiful historical building in a great location.

The room was spacious and lots of space for 4 pax in a room. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast at Hydra was fantastic with delicious breakfast. Location of hotel is good and short walking distance to Canada Place and other shops.

The first room given to us was not big enough for 2-3 people so we requested for upgrade to 2-queen bedroom.

Clean facilities, maintain constant communication with guests, always have access to staff when you need them. Sound proof rooms so we didn't hear the noise outside despite the hotel is located within the busy Howe street, so we had a very good night sleep for 2-nights. Our request for upgrade to double queen room is quick.

Sorry, this is my first time in Vancouver which got above my expectation. The disappointed was my cruise had changed itinerary and embarking time.

they had provided us with a best room, large and has terrace. hotel location is near down town, Canada place, Water front station and Gastown stream clock, this make us easier to travel around Vancouver and embarking cruise; my main objective. Breakfast also great, there provide coffee main course and dessert with polite and kindly waiter, his name is Jenny.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Close to the cruise port which is why we stayed there the night before we left for our cruise. In a great area and as a mom of a little one that’s very important. Walking distance to everything. Great staff. Super friendly! I did not want to leave this hotel. It was absolutely gorgeous and so elevated! As our taxi driver dropped us off he made sure to tell us we were safe in this area as we were staying in a “high end” hotel. Which was very comforting.

For us the lack of storage was a real issue, a small hanging rail with two drawers at the end of the bed in an already tight space - one of which was totally filled with the safe, the other with extra bedding which at least could be moved - meant we couldn’t unpack fully for four days. We like to be able to unpack and put suitcases away. Great for 1-2 nights or a quick business trip but not really for longer than that.

Breakfast included with vouchers given to hand in at restaurant. One staff member serving in the restaurant was dismissive of us handing in our voucher and we were unclear of how to manage tipping using this process.
