How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The not-knowing of what we will get.
When booking, I asked for a walk-in shower. When we arrived and I inquired about my request, I was told at the desk that there was no such room. I explained that on our recent visit, I had also requested a walk-in shower and never received it, but at that time we only stayed one night, so I never pursued it. I told the girl waiting on us, that we would not be back again because of the special request not being fulfilled. She excused herself and when she returned, said that there was one room available for disabled, and it wasn't booked, so we could have that room. We were happy about that, but wonder why it was only offered to us after I had expressed my intention to not return to this Hotel. We are both in our seventies (people at this age do still travel) and find it very hard to climb into a tub in order to shower. We have stayed at other Hotel chains that offer amenities of both -walk-ins/tubs etc. I feel that when booking and placing a special request, that if it is not available, please let that person know, and if it means that your hotel can't fulfill the request, maybe the hotel should look at their options and have to chance losing a booking because of this. The room was clean, staff friendly and location okay. But the idea of not being sure that we will get what we requested, until we get to the hotel to check in (and by this time you have our credit card information on file) - not good service in my opinion.

hotel is in need of some tlc showing signs of improper maintenance projects done on the fast and cheap side.
Location in Niagara, kept pretty clean and staff was great!

Disappointed we had window cleaners propelling down the building in the morning which woke & startled us. Notice of this happening would have been nice and we would have ensured our drapes were shut.

Staff not the friendliest. Waited for the room to get checked before returning deposit. Seemed a little tacky to do that Right in front of me
Clean and for an older hotel it was well maintained. AC is excellent.

The new policy will a room deposit is not stated anywhere when you book your room. So if you book add an additional $150 to your rooms cost. I understand why it’s done however when you book the room it should automatically tell you about it. In previous times of staying here I have never had that so wasn’t prepared for the extra money for the room.

Don't waste any extra money for the Balcony rooms. They are literally only wide enough for a chair and you will not have a view of the falls. At least not from the 3rd or 4th floors.
The location is one of the most centralized for Niagara Falls, Canada. This hotel is 1 block from the fun zone and less than a 10 minute walk to the water front. There are at least a dozen places to eat within a few hundred yards, either sit down or fast food. Late night munchies.... No Problem! There is a Pizza Hut, KFC and Baskin Robins open until 2am on the lower floor as well as a Denny's in the parking lot (only open 24hrs on Fri and Sat but still open late).

The rooms can use updating.
Located within walking distance to the attractions and many restaurants. Rooms are a good size with mini fridge, microwave and spa bathtub.

Was disappointed that it cost$40. A night for my son's car. And breakfast cost $145. For 4 adults and 2 children.
Service was quick and pleasant. Rooms and pool great.
