Location was perfect for us, within short walk of maritime museum, Art Gallery, great restaurants and exploring port area. Valet parking made our arrival seamless, car available promptly when requested. Staff friendly, helpful and informative.

Besides the beautiful contemporary design of the public spaces and the rooms, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We had lunch at the Drift Restaurant which was delicious. Everytime we fly into Halifax this hotel is our favourite place.

The Wellness Centre was amazing. The hotel services were also perfect, and staff were accomodating and did door service for fetching ice and gave us water. The pleasantries of chocolate and macrons with a personal note were a very sweet touch. The BKS was an amazing experience. The room was beautiful bathtub and shower. Also bed was so comfortable. For a couple that isn't new to Halifax this felt like a newfound treat and will make you feel pampered and lovely. Thank you Muir.

Some staff were quite up tight. We were questioned upon entering the property as to why we were there and how they could help us. In other words, you really don’t belong here. We had been there for two days. 90 minute wait to check in without any real explanation other than they were full. So was every other hotel in the area. House keeping staff were awesome.

The noise from the housekeepers. They were sometimes too loud and doors slamming constantly so my husband was woken up early every day. Too much rain and wished it was sunny .

The property was designed so thoughtfully and is stunning from the gym, to Drift, BKS, and the rooms. Staff were super hospitable and very friendly. They also accommodated our late checkout which was greatly appreciated.

Upon arrival staff were so fast to take car and luggage that we went without belongings such as sunglasses and odd and ends that we didn’t have time to get-but wished we had. So maybe give clients more time and less swarming. Also nOise in hallway at 5:30 am of dishes clattering. Perhaps wait for picking up room service if that was the case. Finally. I taught an online yoga class from the yoga studio and to prevent noise from staff opening and closing the service door for water and and towels I placed a yoga block to keep the door slightly ajar and staff movement noiseless. Staff however, said that was not possible. And closed the door then made noisy click every 10 min with the door. It surprised and disappointed me that staff could not make that exception for 30 minutes to reduce noise from the movement. The location of water and towels replacement limits the usefulness of a tranquil yoga space

Was a busy Saturday with rambunctious kids in the pool - even outside of the "family time" there were kids under age 16. It isn't pleasant to police people, but if you promise adult-only time in the wellness center, you should politely deliver.

The facilities were beautiful, but it's the staff that deserve honorable mention. Welcoming but not intrusive. When we came down for breakfast the day we were leaving they went above and beyond to get our car, and even bring our luggage there while we ate. Also they expedited breakfast so we were under no pressure to get to the airport for our flight.

The Muir is hands down the best place to relax. If the views of the Hotel are not stunning enough, visit the 2nd floor and enjoy an outstanding wellness centre, gallery and gym. The Muir has brought a touch of class to Halifax.
