“Hotel Colón was the perfect place for my first visit to Barcelona (on holiday with my mum). The location offers the best of all worlds: opposite the stunning Catedral (a wonderful place to explore) without being too overcrowded. While we were there the square was well populated, but never got too busy, so it felt quite relaxed. There is an amazing view from the rooftop bar area of the hotel.
Food options close by were also very good.
The hotel is lovely with very comfortable, clean rooms and a shower with options for different water pressures (very welcome after the long flight from New Zealand).
The staff are all friendly and very easy to communicate with as everyone appeared to speak English very fluently (luckily didn’t have to use my poor Spanish skills!) They were very helpful in assisting to get to where we wanted to go and always welcoming when we returned.
I would love to visit again sometime and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

“The geographical situation is nice - You can do everything by foot or transports. There's a shared kitchen as well but it closes at 11pm - If you leave anything in the fridge it's not accessible until 6am”

Breakfast was beautiful. You get a lot of choice with really nice coffee. A good all round vibe. Staff were very kind and helpful.
